Just checking in as I'm feeling rather pleased. I've been out for a 'drink' with the girls after work and I stuck to lime and soda.
I'm home now and back on coffee, so it'll be another Dry day for me!
That's 11/31 now please and a good start to my 2nd alcohol free weekend this year.Debt Free Date: November 20170 -

Well done, that's brilliant you should be very proud of yourself! :T0 -
11/22 for me now. Went to Pizza Express this evening, and stuck to lime n soda. I'll wait until after the weekend before saying whether it's getting easier.
Mari, sorry you had to come home to bedlam, I hope you managed to have something to eat? What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Wow! Everyone's doing so well! Brilliant. Another af day for me. So thats 11 af and 13 in total! I had a major wobble earlier and had to go to the shop anyway so I bought 2 big bags of sweets and ate the whole lot! BUT I didn't buy wine so that's good. So, I can't work this out.... I feel awful because of the calories in the sweets BUT I never bothered about that when I was drinking! Logically, I know that if i'd drunk wine I would have put away about the same or slightly more calories and not been fussed about that so why am I being crazy about the calories in sweets?? Gah! Who only knows?! Must be hormones...x2022 Comp total (prizes + free spins): £494.81 #20 £12 a day Jan: £382.95/£372 #57 360 1p challenge: £17.70 £10 a day Feb: £571.09/£280 March: £311.96/£3100

Jak - I tend to put on weight when I am not drinking, yet I don't eat to make up for it - I actually eat more when drinking - bottle of wine and a family bag of crisps etc....
Very annoying and I have to keep reminding myself its better for me...
Anyhoo - 11AF now
The kids haven't been too bad, DS has his friend for a sleepover, just sent them all up now - I am not far behind!
Good luck with the date Barny, my 2nd date tomorrow, off out for Chinese, a tad excited!
Well done all on the lime and sodas

AF 11/31
Everyone is doing really well , I have even surprised myself, just had a cup of tea and going to bed knowing that I will be fresh in the morning.
Weekends have always been such a blur, but now I have the time and energy to do what I want to.
Before I would just laze about waiting for the evening and my next drink.
Tomorrow I am going to a birthday party and I am driving, looking forward to enjoying it and remembering it, in the past I have struggled to remember the details of a night out!
Have a good weekend everyone

Morning all
I have woken up feeling refreshed and calmer than yesterday and I didn't have a drinkso 10 AFD please shaggy. Not sure why I've found everything so stressful this week perhaps it's my body readjusting to not having the daily pickling with alcohol. Even now and I know it's early days, I don't understand how I function, day after day when I have drunk at least a bottle of wine the night before?
satchmo1 - Thanks my lovely for your concern I had some cheese on toast! Very healthy I know! Well done for AF meal out too. We are out tonight to a nice pub just DH and me and are arguing over who will drive!! That's never been heard of before! Hopefully we will both stay AF tonight, fingers crossed!
tracy_36 - Good luck with the second date tonight :j
warbonnet - Reading your last post that could have been me writing it, I have so many lost days, nights and weekends. That's what I want to stop, I would love to have a drink and stop but at the moment (as last Saturday proved) I cannot do that. You are doing great, have a lovely party tonight
