My target is the 31 for the dryathlon btw, saw it was blank on the target page.

My danger zones are weekends when I don't have my son and when there is football on...

2/22 AF days so far please Shaggy.

Jak, how about right at the start, turning to this mum and asking for her help, saying something like "I'm finding I'm really short tempered at the moment due to TOM/medication/her son's screaming (lol, not an option 'spose), can you help me by watching out for [your son's name] so I don't get too wound up please"?

    Good luck with January everyone.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Popping in quickly to add another AF day, so 2 for January so far

Feel very pleased as my brother is here for a couple of days and usually the first thing we'd do is get out the booze and have a good chin wag. Well, he and DH had a beer or two and I stuck to the tea.

Big hugs to everyone who needs them and stay strong
    Trying to keep in budget.

Jak, you are a far better woman than me.

I know my son's faults, he can err on the shouty side and he thinks he's always right and I will pull him up for it if I see it because I know he can be intimidating, but I expect other parents to know their own children as well and deal with them accordingly, I don't think I could bite my tongue like you do if someone else was reprimanding my child when it was theirs who was/was also in the wrong, well done you!

  • Well done JAK on 4 days af:j . Re the parent id just stay with your child all the time, if the other kid has a toxic melt down just ignore him and the parent, rise above it you can do it! (normally i just shake my head shrug my shoulders and give a I dunno look) , Don't let other peoples bad parenting skills drive you to to reach for the drink.Loads of love and luck xx

Another 1 AF to declare for me, still have swollen glands but starting to feel better . Had a nice milky coffee and choccy biscuits (not sure that giving up booze is actually going to help my diet at this rate lol) Saw mr
David attingbourghs Africa documentry last night was brilliant!

Have a good day and night all xx

Hi Mummy. That's pretty much what i've decided to do. I will stay with my boy and we will move away from any bad behaviour meltdowns. I'm fairly sure the other boy in question is aspergers, he's obsessive about my son in social situations and sticks to him like glue as he can't cope with other children. He's fine in school as he responds well to the rules really well. He also is totally obsessed with certain objects and talks about them incessantly so i've been a bit soft really as he clearly needs help he isnt getting. That stops today tho because as much as i'm fond of him ( ive known him for all his life) that's not really my problem. His Mum isnt prepared to do anything about it so it's not my job. I've come to the realisation that i've been taking on too much of other peoples problems and I need to focus on myself and my son.
Well rant over! I'm on day 5 today!!!! I woke up this morning after a bit of a late night, happy to greet the day, not feeling like I need to peel my eyelids off my face and grumble into a cup of tea for several hours! I must say, I'm LOVING the mornings. It's so refreshing to be able to just get up and not feel like rubbish with a mouth like a badgers !!!!!
Thanks again everyone for your support! XXX
