  • When my other half drinks when we go out, he's a quick drinker and will knock them back quicker than I can. But he's really very good at abstaining a LOT of the time, never drinks in the week at all. I find it hard to be AF when he suddenly decides (occasionally) that he'll have a drink on a night that he usually wouldn't. It makes me think.... well if even HE can drink tonight then surely I can when I'm not as strict as him. I hope that doesn't sound daft. :o
  • I'm glad I didn't use last night as an excuse to drink the rest of the week now I've 'ruined' things.

I also feel like I have 'ruined' things, in that there's no way I can reach my target now.

On top of that, I arranged to have a planned drinking day next week with some friends I rarely get to see, so that's another day less. I thought about revising my target but I think I'd be cheating myself really. The only good thing I can take from it is that the days I have drank, I haven't actually been DRUNK, which is essentially what I'm aiming for 95% of the time.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I was saying the other day that I no longer want wine if it's not a decent one. I used to be happy with Asda's 3 for £10 but no longer. I noticed yesterday that in stocking up after Christmas (that's the supermarkets not me!!:D) all the £5ish reds I quite liked in Asda were now closer to £7 and the white I like was almost £10:eek: Another good reason for AFDs.

Oh I so agree. I really think nice wine has got expensive. Thank goodness :D The cost of my favourite wines are now soooo expensive that I defintely see them as a weekend treat and the cost alone makes me think "no"....

I'm more than happy to change targets - what ever works and helps makes people achieve as many AFDs as they can :T
