Thanks for the get well soon wishes everyone. I am finally admitting defeat and going to see the GP today.

I am thinking about joining the SNC due to the fact that i wont be able to reach my target after drinking those 2 glasses the other night. So, can i PLEASE join the SNC with Bearacus and carry on a running total with shaggy?

Oh, and did i declare last night an AF night? I cant remember...but it was!

Im still not feeling well so think I have picked up a bit of a bug and am just run down aswell.

    Hi Peter,
    Welcome :D
There are lots of fab tips on this thread, a good place to start might be just reading through what other posters have written. Then there is the School Night Challenge run by Bearacus if you want support not drinking in the week or the monthly challenge run by Shaggy. Also I find getting nice non alcoholic drinks (for me soda and lime or non alcoholic ginger beer) to have on hand when you feel like a drink helpful. I'm better if there is no alcohol in the house to tempt me!
I also find that posting on here keeps me focused and everyone is really supportive.

Good luck on you alcohol free journey!

Peterbunny- Welcome to the thread
Occupying your normal drinking time with other activities. it can be anything- Gym, bath,tv, book, going out for a drive, walk, seeing family, friends, crosswords anything that keeps your mind of drinking. I found not having it in the house helped in the beginning as it took away a lot of the temptation. Try finding other drinks that you like that can be a treat instead of wine. Lots of people will follow with great ideas :)

WBF- sorry I missed your post :o I ve now updated the list :)

Cleggie- your on the list :) and get better soon x

10 AF please Shaggy and 2 for the SNC

    Thanks everyone.
I have a bruised tendon in my foot, so no driving for at least a week and no exercise for 14 days (no fear of doing that!). So will have to miss a week of uni :(
I also have a viral infection.
    Oh my life!
Feeling totally miserable today. I am NEVER ill normally!
