Morning :santa2:
Only 1 more AFD to add.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Well I am back for an update on the 7th December it was a year since I stopped drinking alcohol, it's been easier then I thought but it does take a lot of control, I don't go out as much to pubs (very rarely just for a meal) but I still miss having a drink but I know myself far to well and it won't stop at one.
Am I happy, yep as I feel better have lost weight and my skin has improved and is softer and I look younger, well thats what the girlfriend says
Will I drink again? I think that I am not ready for "moderate" drinking so if I have the will power to stay off the booze then I think I will carry on just as I am.
Best of luck to everyone on this thread as reading the posts and contributing on here is what really helped me along my way.
Cheers, ooops shouldn't have really said that..........0 -

Tracy, there is nothing wrong with that, but what is wrong with all these men? You are making me a tad worried :-)
I can relate to the wanting to crack open a drink and having to go to bed early too. In fact for the first time in weeks, I had an urge to have a drink or four, I fancied getting really drunk to take away this hurt and pain. However I can't/won't as :-
I know it won't help
The kids have their xmas play tomorrow
I am here alone, so my rules not allowed
I am on the SNC
Ate dinner and had a fizzy instead. Moment has passed now, thankfully.
Hope everyone else is doing ok?
Tracy I am banking on you to lead me astray when I finally feel ready to join the dating world. However the likelihood is by the time that occurs, you'll be settled and married and i'll still be dallying about trying to take off my wedding ring..............lol.
Diable, very impressive to read your post, congrats.
Oh and 16/13AF and 2/2 SNC pleaseLive for the moment and plan for the future0 -
