Hi everyone - can I join you please (yet again)? Despite wanting to just have an odd drink at weekends or nights out, I find myself drinking a couple of glasses of wine and a couple of vodka & cokes every night. I hope it's just a habit I've got into and not an addiction. However even though I keep saying I'll not drink during the week - or have a week (or month) off to give my body a break, I carry on. God knows why. So fresh start from today. Will report to you all each day with my success - hopefully making myself accountable will make me stick to it!Sober October = 0 alcohol free days

Another AF night for me taking me to a total of 3 AF for the month so far!
Have another 7 nights to fit in somewhere and judging by the Sunday morning dispute I've just had with the other half I want a drink now!!!!
Have a lovely relaxing day everyone!!

12 please, Shaggy, thanks. Well, DD2 home from uni plus friend for a couple of days. Also DH home for the weekend. He's gone back now, thank goodness. DD2's 4 month old laptop broken and Apple saying it's water-damaged - oh here we go again, all the usual stressors around Christmas.
Skyped DD1 in Australia this morning - she's having a great time - but it won't be the same without her.
I had lots of wine on Thursday night, I think it was knowing that things were going to start ramping up as Christmas approaches. But it didn't help me to feel any calmer.
I can't wait for it all to be over. Sorry about this, everybody! And Christmas Day at our house this year, too. Oh help! This means it will all fall on me, because DH is completely useless.
I'm being really strict with myself despite the clanging of the bells - I need to feel 100% to deal with all this.0 -
The aim is 5 AF nights - Tonight through til Thurs. I have two parties and a leaving do next weekend so I intend to give my body a break until then.
