    Hi all

3AF for Dec now - not sure about tonight thou - the guy I was seeing, well I am not anymore, queue tears from me, even thou it was my decision!!
Typical that I find a man who ticks all the boxes, yet can't give me what I need!! Not his fault, just both met at the wrong time...oh well, back to the dating sites!!

:wave:bhb, good to see you and good to know you're still being mindful with your drinking (most of the time;)).

I managed my first for this month so

    1AF please Shaggy
  • Thanks Maman :)

I'm always mindful of my drinking - it's just I don't take any notice of myself sometimes :o

3 AF please Shaggy. Managed to avoid the lure of Baileys whilst wrapping up some Xmas presents this eve and settled on tea and chocolate instead. :A

Another AF, so 4/13 please and 2 for the SNC

I am doing ok ish today, some tears some ok bits. Just trying to function and get through each hour.

Saw the doc today and said I wanted to go back to work and was planning to go on monday, bit scary but necessary now. The physical problems seem to be in check and i need to get some reality back. I got some more anxiety tablets and some sleeping tablets that I will take on the the one night a week Bill has the children. I know they zonk me out, so i dont like to be on them whilst being the only responsible adult in the house.

AF still, finding it easy, its like my off switch has been activated. I now find myself have thoughts like "I cant accept that invitation as I'll be expected to drink and I don't want to", a complete turn around from wanting a drink and justifying it somehow.

Another AF, so 4/10 please and tidied up the 2nd bedroom somewhat. It was a tip, so feel quite virtuous. Bought a packet of crisps from the vending machine today, which in itself was only a 50p spend... but then ordered 3 items from the Book People which turned the vending machine trip into £18 total, eek. But they're all Christmas items. Also bought a beautiful lacquered box from a colleague which will be a great present for someone difficult to buy for. That leaves just my mum and DH to buy for and I'm done! Can't believe it - and I haven't had to go to the shopping mall which is a result. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas :-)
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Wow!!:T but don't be too hard on yourself as some adult company and a change of scene wil be good for you.

I managed another tonight. I was fancying a drink but as I got home too early (before wine o'clock) by the time it came around the thought had passed.

I may drink moderately for the rest of the week as I'm eating out. I knew December would be like this, glad I've made a start.

    2 AFDs please Shaggy.

5/10 AF for me so far, which I think is a record outside of Lent (when I prove to myself I can give wine up!!). But, bought 6 bottles tonight, whilst justifying that 2 are for part of 2 Christmas presents of a grapevine with a bottle (an idea I saw in a swanky magazine priced at £45), and 2 are to take to my lovely sister who is hosting Christmas day lunch. That, even with my notoriously inventive maths, leaves 2. Maybe I could aim for them to last me until Christmas week? The shelf price was £8.99, buy 2 for £12, then 25% off when buying 6 bottles, so very MSE.

Well done Maman on another AF evening:T
Satchmo im liking your MSE :money: approach to your present buying this year. Just out of interest what is the grapevine present?
