    Everyone Welcome!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Its a rose wine. I wonder if this reaction will stop me every time i reach for the wine bottle, probably not :oIs it wrong for me to be amused by this!? :p

Sounds like you had an awful day yesterday CuppaTea, maybe the build up to Xmas will keep the wee ones minds focussed on something else other than daddy not being there. I hope you have family and or friends there for support. We always here for you x Thank you so much!

Thanks for Shaggydoo too for your kind words.

I'm trying to organise a girls night around at mine for saturday as Bill has the children for the first time and I don't want to go out, but think distraction will be best. However so far, nobody can make it, very Bridget Jones!!! I know its xmas, but honestly.................:rotfl::D

    .. I've been AWOL for a few weeks:o

I've had an un-remarkable November and December will be a damage limitation exercise - trying to keep units and calories in check (as much as Xmas allows).

Cuppa - I can't offer any advice I'm afraid, but I wanted you to know I'm thinking of you - I can't imagine what you are going through. [[ big huggs]]

A friend's wife has just left him out of the blue, and when I put it in context, I don't know how I could possibly cope with that. Worse for him is that he has also lost the house and now has to move into a tiny flat. How do you pick yourself up from that?
Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p

    Hello Peeps :D

Long time since I've been on here and have just been shamed into coming on here by GC ;)

Nice to see some names I recognise but where are all the old timers? Hope they no longer find it necessary to be on here

Anyway not Tea Total yet but have much reduced my intake and am having some AF days during the week.

Had a bit of a scary time last Christmas when I thought my stomach had exploded but turned out to be a Hiatus Hernia playing up along with inflamation of the stomach. It made me stop for a while but did unfortunately start drinking again when things got better.

On the plus side it was enough to make me reduce dramatically and notice the warning signs, though I do tend to ignore them occasionally on 'stupid' days and suffer for it for a few days after. The main aim at the moment is not to have the 'stupid' days (Definition Stupid day = 4 pints Stella or a whole bottle of wine, good day = half that or less)

Hope everyone is doing well - off back for a read and a catch up .... :)

    BHB

    xx

Another AF for me too - 3/13 now please, what a great start to December, but I want to know why, after an AF w/end, I've put 2lbs back on after a blow out lunch yesterday. If I had drunk my usual bottle of wine on Friday and Saturday, I could understand it, but I didn't. And I exercised on both Saturday and Sunday. I know life isn't supposed to be fair, but it really isn't fair, is it!!! (and I also know that in the grand scheme of things, it matters not a fig compared to the lovely Cuppa's troubles).

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • 1 please, Shaggy, thanks

I hope everybody is OK xx

No its not fair, all the effort, hardly justifies it eh? Except your will power and resolve were tested and passed! So try to take pleasure in that and ignore the scales, they are only telling you what you weigh in that particularly time. Maybe if you continue to eat and exercise well, then the following week you'll play catch up and drop more.

(and I also know that in the grand scheme of things, it matters not a fig compared to the lovely Cuppa's troubles). True, but its nice to have the distraction and to keep perspective. :rotfl:

2 AF's please Shaggy and 1 for the SNC please Mackeroo:D
Spent the day at a spa with a close friend who i dont see very much so didnt want to undo all the good work by having a glass of vino this eve...the eggs and milk is still haunting me:eek: but I googled it and its apparently something to do with making the wine appear clearer and its used as processing aids not actual ingredients, phew!
