Thanks Cuppatea, what a generous-hearted person you are to be praising others whilst your world has fallen apart! Hugs for you, and your family are in my prayers.

Had a lovely pub lunch after a great yomp, and stuck to lime and soda, so I've managed 2/10 AF days so far for December.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

What a brilliant start:T 2 days and at the weekend too!

I know this sounds strange cuppa but I am pleased that horrid part is behind you. I'm amazed how you've managed some AF days at the same time. You're a star!:T Do feel free to come on here and rant all you like. It's so much safer than in RL.

Strangely gien my tolerance is still qute ever low since I first started cutting back. I'm really having to work on this falling asleep after a couple of glasses. It's certainly making me pace myself and then press that stop button really hard.

 mari good to see you again.

Thanks satchmo1, well it does get a bit boring going on about myself, so i appreciate you as a distraction :-)

I've another AF day too, looks like we are matching each other, not that its a competition, i'm doing the SNC this week, are you?

Gien, fingers crossed for you, its all in the mindset eh? I don't know about you but once my mindset changes i find things relatively ok to stick to. Its like the rules have been set and i respond to rules quite well, maybe that's why i liked school, well primary anyhow, secondary was hideous!

My dad and bro moved my bed around in my room this afternoon, the current arrangement isn't how the room is designed for, but it will do for now and stop me feeling so reluctant to go to bed. Its like I have taken ownership of a new layout that is mine not "ours", so i am hoping it will help me sleep better. However I showed DD as she hadn't seen us move it round and I didn't her to be confused if she needed me in the night.

She said, "Oh how do you get around the side, is that the side Daddy sleeps.........?"
Then she realised so I bent down to talk to her and before I could say anything she said
"Or where anybody else is going to sleep?"
"No darling, that bed is just for me to sleep in sweetheart, its a big bed just for me"
    "I miss Daddy...........".

Bless her, she is trying so hard, but she did get a little upset after that. But I guess we have had lots of changes this weekend and most of it she doesn't really understand, just Daddy doesn't live here anymore.

Bill and I had another chat today, surprisingly we seem to be getting on better these last 48 hrs than we have for a long time, the pressure is off now and we are concentrating on being the best parents and friends we can for the children. Ultimately its them caught in the middle and we both want to minimise their hurt and upset as much as possible. It doesn't stop me loving and grieving for Bill, but equally being angry, ranting and shouting doesn't solve things either.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend

Thank you maman, i guess the 5 months of limbo was hard, now its all out in the open i have direction and expections for the future, yes they different to the ones i thought i had, but i can focus on what i have and how i am going to get through. Last night I did nothing but cry, this evening i sit here feeling a strange sense of feeling ok, not great but not a wreck. Tomorrow it might be tears again, but I recognise it will take time to heal and not a process to be rushed or shut off from.

Equally with my health issues, I am tackling them head on and feeling stronger week by week. I just hope i can continue to find the strength to carry on esp during dark times and with the xmas period approaching and all the memories it brings.

Lastly Mari, I second what Maman said!:rotfl:

Evening all. Was AF this eve, but it wasnt so much willpower but reading the back of a wine bottle!! I didnt put up much resistance to the bells, so at 6pm ish i took out wine glass and then took out bottle of wine from the fridge. I dont know why but i decided to read the back of the bottle and it said that the wine included sulphites, eggs and milk :eek: That almost made my stomach curldle at the thought of it and i promptly put wine back in the fridge. Is that right?? Does some wines contain this? I was really surprised. Not that i have an allergy to either ingredients but the thought of it in the bottle made me feel squeamish. Its a rose wine. I wonder if this reaction will stop me every time i reach for the wine bottle, probably not :o
So Shaggy im here to claim 1 AF for Dec despite the circumstances behind it.

Sounds like you had an awful day yesterday CuppaTea, maybe the build up to Xmas will keep the wee ones minds focussed on something else other than daddy not being there. I hope you have family and or friends there for support. We always here for you x
