What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Gonna try for 10AF for December, but that shocks me with the realisation that it means so many won't be AF!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

2 more AF's please, so full monty SNC, first in a while, so that'll do me.

Dreading saturday morning when we tell the kids Daddy doesnt love mummy anymore and he is moving out, rather than "working away from home". Needs to happen just its going to be awful and emotional and it finally makes it real, no more pretending.

Cuppa, will be thinking of you saturday morning

  • Morning Everyone.

Last day of November already. Advent calenders at the ready :D

MrR phoned the doctors yesterday for his results (following a 2 pronged attack from me and his sister). He was told the doctor hadn't had chance to review the results so could they phone him back later  He looked a bit pale when he got home from work as he was still waiting for a call.
Anyway, the blood test showed his liver function is slightly raised and he has high cholesterol. He has a routine appointment to see the GP in 2 weeks.
I think he was relived that they didn't ask him to come in the next day but is also aware that he's gonna have to make changes.

    Have a Happy Friday :)

What a dreadful prospect. I've been there myself but it was a long time ago and rather a reversed situation. My ex took great pleasure in painting me as the 'bad guy' to DD at every opportunity. Hopefully you and your husband can put it to the children in a way they'll understand. Most children understand 'not getting on together' from spats at school when teachers often separate them.

Well done to you and SIL for making him see sense. Now it's up to the GP to put pressure on. Is the GP aware of how heavy the drinking is?

satchmo, I always think my target of 10 looks a bit feeble too but I've made progress from no AF days at all and I'm pleased with that. I'm also having far less on my drinking days, sometimes a single glass in a restaurant so it all counts. I find having AF days good for keeping myself in check but all cutting down counts.

    Is lovely boyfriend an Aussie?

:rotfl:No, he's from Kent! But he's still at uni in Leeds, and spent lots of time with DD1 while she was here. They have been together for 22 months now :)

    21 AFDs please, thanks

    Okay Gulp Here Goes!

For December I am going to set a goal of 10 AF

I managed 12 AF in November but that was with the assistance of a broken jaw, hospital stay and mouth wired together!!

It is Christmas so not going to make it too hard since 10 is hard enough! In fact I have just copied Satchmo!

Also sending my very best to CuppaTea!

    Good Luck everyone!

:eek::eek: Wow that's a drastic way to stay AF!! But if it works I'm not knocking it!;)

Good Luck for December. I'm planning to make every possible 'normal' night AF in between the festivities.
