  • Hi all

Been reading everyone's posts without posting myself, well done on all the AF days. :T

I'm still off the alcohol, and have now hit 3AF days for December. Had a slight wobble on Friday night whilst out as I felt I wasn't being as funny/talkative without a pint of cider in my hand, but someone talked me out of caving in. All this talk of Baileys is making me wonder what I'm going to do without it on Christmas morning. Chocolate milkshake?!

I've not had time to read through all your posts but hope you are all doing ok.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

:rotfl::rotfl:Yep - normally with a chicken on my shoulder :D

Now I'm back, think I may stay for a while for some incentive - can I have a target for December please.... target of 8 days AF, one of which I achieved last night

It's nice to be back ... though picked the hardest month didn't I :o

  • Wow it's been busy on here!!! It's nice to see lots of faces popping back to join in for December :)

Cuppa, how you doing today? Like the others have said, that is the worst bit over now and hopefully the excitement of Christmas will help your little ones.

Not much to report here. MrR keeps saying he has cut down (yeah right!). Just waiting for the doctors appointment. I'm hoping the Doc will say he HAS to stop.

Off to see the Coca Cola Lorry this afternoon :D

Its the 4th December and I've just had another surgical follow up appointment this morning. I am now back in bed as we have a friend staying for the week and last night <apparently> this was just the excuse I needed to keep opening bottles of wine despite the fact I knew I had this appointment this morning! Despite showering, shaving, wearing expensive clothing & aftershave I must have smelled like a brewery when I went in to see the Consultant.

Funnily enough yesterday I popped into town to Debenhams and passed by some homeless/heavy drinkers who were unkempt and half rotten mid afternoon. As I passed them by I wondered how many steps apart we really were!

There but for the grace of God........

Tonight SHALL be my 1st AF night!!
