Hi all! Well done Crazymum so proud of you. Everyone else is doing brilliantly too. THis thread does truly rock
Well after my AF Friday night (still polishing that halo) yesterday I had some wine. We bought steak for tea and while I was cooking husband went off to get some coal and said "shall I get some wine then or what?" I actually really fancied a glass- didnt NEED it, wasnt using it as a crutch, just fancied some wine with my steak. SO I had a couple of glasses and went to bed happy and in control
Today I had a meeting 10-1.30 and then went to inlaws for lunch. There was a bottle of red and a bottle of white on the table and I had 2 glasses of red with my meal. After dinner we were sat and Father in law offered me a port- I didnt want one!! Now you have to realise that my (Irish) in laws have a very well stocked drinks cabinet and like to provide! My usual sunday afternoon there would be spent trying to sink as much free and posh booze as I could. I had one glass of white wine and then stopped. There was about 3/4 a bottle of (posh) white wine left and normally Id have hinted until I was given it to take home but I DONT WANT IT !! I have come home and had a cuppa, and I feel SO in control. My journey isnt about totally stopping, I just need to find that stop button and not get to a headspace where drinking is a need not a want. I want to do 4 for the SNC this week please and then am away with work next weekend Fri-Sun and my manager said she always takes wine so I will have a few but I am so glad I am in control so much more and dont have toworry about being a drunken !!!!!! in front of my colleagues !!Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

Don't want to shout about it too much though.
