Good news crazymum,:jI tried for so long to control my drinking, sometimes it worked for a bit,but I was always thinking about drinking and planning it.I affected everyone I came into contact with at the end of my drinking, long gone were the days when I was the life and soul of the party. For me it took years for my Alcoholism to progress,

It is hard at first to resist the temptation to pick up,I had a list of people I could phone at anytime ,I was told to pick up the phone before a drink.Just for me I kept no Alcohol in the house and I didnt go into pubs.Nowadays I go into pubs to eat and I have no problem with other people drinking in the house,as long as it is not me.For today my obsession has gone.

I wish everyone well achieving their goals,Bruce Willis film on ,great.:j

AF here tonight making 3 please Shaggy. DH has given me back is cold and I feel all achey and rotten :(

Mum is going back to hospital on Monday as she has taken a turn for the worse again, so forgive me if I'm quiet or not AF over the next few days. She came over to ours for dinner last night and only ate 2 mouthfuls. Will be seeing her again tomorrow as my brother is going back to Australia on Monday. He is not due to come back until March, but I have a nasty feeling that he will be back before then :(

Off to bed with my book in a mo. Need to get rid of this cold asap, as don't want to give it to mum.

Well done to all those staying AF xx

Well done everyone and best wishes to you Rachel. I've had a mixed week but have drunk very little and thought about what I was doing when I did choose to drink. DH has been joining me in being AF which has been good. So Bearacus I managed the 3 on the SNC and Shaggy it's 5/21 AFD.
    Thank you :)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Rachel ((hugs))

Heath480 thankyou. I've ordered the book you said before - Living Sober (hasn't arrived yet). Trying hard, crying all the time, just so emotional. I think I shall join the AA group here as I need to keep going but feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Well done everyone who drank in moderation :T and those AF.

    1 more AFD please Shaggy.

Good to see you Mari, also noticed GC lurking too. Hope all is well.

    Great results for Friday night.

    One day at a time.

    Hows the book Crazymum?

Gardenanna - The Ditch 100 in January challenge in my sig is a declutter challenge on Moneysaving Old Style Board. It's very good for the soul isn't it?

I am still reading from time to time.
I am loving the energy and enthusiasm on here at the moment.

I need to keep enthusiastic - the ISM in my alcoholISM can stand for Incredibly Short Memory, and alcohol is so powerful that I can forget what a joy it is not to drink
