  • 4 AFD for me please Shaggy AND I did a friday :) I have a meeting tomorrow so am going to be AF again tonight. I also have a big day monday ( big promotion for my company in todays Mirror Newspaper so expecting to be really busy Monday!) so want to be AF tomorrow too. In fact I have a bit of an urge to do the whole of Jan but dont want to set myself up for a fall but I definitely dont want to drink at all this weekend. My head is so lovely and clear and I have so much energy and drive I dont want to ruin it.
Ive also been reading weight loss stories (work , again!) and the in most successful ones, 90% say "I gave up alcohol.........."

Well done everyone and YAY for this thread

    Good evening all!
    Glad to see everyone.

I am exhausted today! Just got back and am debating if i should go and get a bottle of wine. Not in a desperate way, but i just fancy a glass to drink whilst curled up on the sofa reading a book this evening. Undecided at the moment, so will leave it for another 30mins to decide.
  • I'm wobbling, its Saturday evening and I want to treat myself. Not get drunk. I'm pretty good at stopping after 1 or 2. Tomorrow is the family meal though so that's my designated day (although I've already had an extra day). Bottle of red open though. Hmmmm. I think next months challenge will be a mixture of af days and units drunk.

Maybe try a hot chocolate first? Get some marshmallows!

i ended up watching two megafactories docs this afternoon. 1st was the jack daniels factory and then followed closely by the coca cola factory. you couldn't even make it up :rotfl: spent all afternoon talking myself out of a jack and coke.

great idea! I'm adding marshmallows to mine later on :)

    I had some wine.
Sorry if you think i am letting you down, but i am OK with having 1 or 2 glasses tonight. I am not doing it to get drunk, or because i need it, but because i fancied it and i think i will be able to have the odd glasss or 2 every now and again instead of drinking 3 or 4 times a week, or HAVE to drink on Friday evenings etc.

Nobody expects anything, its up to you how and when you want to drink. We're just here to support either way :) alcohol is fine when you're choosing it, not it choosing you. My aim is to be a cutter-downer, not a tee-totaller. It's the times I pour without thinking and then keep chucking it down my neck that I want to avoid.

I do feel that I want a glass this evening. I've pledged 30 now though so don't want to fail too badly.
  • Just mentioned to the bf that I MIGHT have a glass with tea so he's brought in the bottle and 2 glasses... :S I always think that its ok to drink when he does as he's quite sensible and doesn't very often drink a lot home.

Told him not to pour it yet. That's quite restrained for me! I will see how it goes...
  • 5/15 for me Shaggy. And a Friday too! You lot are great. Sorry no colour.

    Thanks fakeplastictwee.
I got the end of my 2nd glass and have put the reat of the bottle back in the fridge. I have enjoyed those 2 gasses, but i dont fancy anymore, so i will save it for another time. I never have managed to leave an unopened bottle in the fridge before!
