    Morning :hello:

1 more AFD making 6 in a row. Just what I needed and I'm feelin' great:j.

This morning I was a smidge (like less that half a pound) away from having lost 1 stone :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hoping today will be AF, that I have a 2 hour walk and I eat lots of healthy food.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

CuppaTea glad your tests all came back ok. Sorry it hasn't resolved things however. I know what a worry it can be....

  • I'm pleased to report that my change of tactics on Thursday worked and I managed 4 AFD's in a row. (I should have been in the SNC!!!) I'm really happy with that.

So thats 1 AF to add for me please (4/15).

I didn't do so well last night, and drunk a good portion of a box of pink wine. My head feels awful this morning! My challenge today is to hold this feeling and get past the 'its 5 o'clock somewhere' moment this afternoon (which normally happens around 4.30 on Saturdays!).

Has anyone ever tried the herbal remedy Kudzo, which is supposed to help with alcohol cravings?

Hopefully not too much! :Ton the weightloss (and the AFness):D

I tried it when I was first on a mission to cut down. I couldn't say with any conviction that it worked but I used to take it at wine o'clock to set the tone for an AF evening. That worked but I'm not sure how much was the Kudzu and how much was sheer willpower or distraction activities or the motivation of saving calories or money or....
  • Hi all!well done Shaggy :)
In the end last night I only had 2glasses and felt great this morning! I just went in shop and didn't buy any for tonight - I have a slightly elderly box of Sauvignon in the fridge so might have a glass of that but currently pretty content with Strictly and my cuppa :)

    Well done you!!

Cuppa - hope the week off helps things for you, your life seems to be in a better place now - and baileys truffles are allowed :p

I am in shock myself that I am logged onto this forum on a Sat night, drinking water and hot squash :)
I got sent a book about the fasting plan, apparently it was on a Horizon prog, there is a thread on MSE that I am reading through now - anyway, I fasted from 8pm last night to 8pm tonight, so have gone past the I fancy a glass of wine phase, yahhh

Still only 3 AF for Oct, so need some more fasting to get my numbers up lol

Hope you are all having a great weekend :)

Popping in with an AF day today, which is good as I drank a bottle of wine last night and felt very bad this morning!

Tracy, I following the intermittent fasting thing too. I have 2 fast days a week and then eat healthily the rest of the tine. So far it's been going really well.

    Morning :hello:

1 more AFD making a week :D Also, I went for a long walk yesterday (over 2 hours) and I kept the calories low. I did turn down a party invitation, however, which I feel a bit bad about. But I don't know, I just wanted to de-stress a bit and it's worked as I feel great this morning. Less stressed, calmer, rested and happier than I have done for some weeks.

I was just looking at my drinking diary and, on reflection, I'm a little bit comforted by what I read. I really have managed to keep the lid on my drinking under immense amounts of stress in the last few months, much better than when my mum was ill. Which is why I'm here. So it must be working :D

  • I quitted drinking totally. Now I can drive what ever time and day I want. Because I never need to worry about how much I drink.
