I DONT WANT to go for a drink. I am aiming to be AF most of October including weekends as I have mastered the School Nights but its just turned me into a binge drinker and Im sick of losing weekends.

I was AF yesterday and am fully intending to be the rest of the week and hopefully Friday too, although if not I am self imposing a "Find the Stop Button CHallenge" as I find sticking to a "couple" much harder than not starting in the first place...........

That's exactly how I was to begin with idris and I promise it does get easier. My first 'cutting down' challenge was not to drink on school nights then I found I couldn't open the bottle fast enough on a Friday.:o My next challenge was to be sure I didn't just play catch up on the weekends by drinking as much in 3 days as I'd previously done in 7! I think what happened with me was that the AF days lowered my tolerance so I just couldn't manage much more than a bottle at a time. I now have to either pace myself or stop. It doesn't always work but I'm getting there. You will too.:)

2 AFDs for October please Shaggy.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Just read an article about Denise Welch giving up drinking and her catalyst was someone filming her drunk. My daughter did this to me this summer and when I watched it I *actually* looked like Ozzy Osbourne. I was shuffling around the kitchen trying to make boiled eggs and I just died a little bit when I saw that. I was also quite rude to a few people that night in a drunken " telling the truth" manner an I never ever want to be that person again
