    Everyone Welcome.
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hello everyone, just caught up with the Thread

Idristhedragon, I really feel for you and you have mysympathy. It's horrible to feel bad about yourself and your behaviour, especially when it's due in part to something (alcohol) that you feel you should control. I've been in that place and it's not nice.

Antonic, thanks for sharing your success with us, always good to hearsomwthing positive.

I won't set a target thismonth because I just lose track completely anyway. I know that I'm being reasonable though.
    Trying to keep in budget.

  • Thank you Gien. I actually just went round the kitchen and through away the remians of Friday night- 1/3rd of a bottle of rose, the remains of a box of red- down the sink out of harms way.
I bumped into a friend today and she said "oh we MUST go for a drink". I DONT WANT to go for a drink. I am aiming to be AF most of October including weekends as I have mastered the School Nights but its just turned me into a binge drinker and Im sick of losing weekends. My kids are getting harder and harder work as they get older (anyone that thinks babys are hard has a shock coming- I thought my 3 under 5 at one point were hard- little did I know what 4 with an age range of 15 years would be like - 4, 8,7,14.) I am permanently knackered and feelin g rough makes it SO much worse.
I was AF yesterday and am fully intending to be the rest of the week and hopefully Friday too, although if not I am self imposing a "Find the Stop Button CHallenge" as I find sticking to a "couple" much harder than not starting in the first place...........

  • Just a quickie (has anyone else on this thread noticed how many colloquialisms [had to look that spelling up!] are used in the boozing world?)

Ended up with 18 AF in September on a target of 15!!:j

Shaggy: October AF target is 20 (already on 1)
*Mari* AFC of 3 for this week please (already on 1)

Hoping that missrlr comes back soon. We all make mistakes from time to time and it is all the more difficult when we only write, and all voice intonation is lost. This is a very supportive thread, so come on back and let's all move forward.

Wishing all the best of restraint for October :grouphug:

Missrlr, I echo TD, come on please come back, we all genuinely think its been a misunderstanding. <holds out a hand!>

Satchmo1 - hope your feeling better soon, TI isn't nice but its a good deterent!

Another one in the bag for me please Mari and Shaggy.

Blood test tomorrow, so it was easy to stay AF. Can't risk alcohol showing up in my blood, wouldn't look good would it?

Iristhedragon- well done you, such resolve and strength, not that you need to impress me, but I have to say I suitably am.

I'm in a slightly better place than yesterday, but tomorrow DH will be around to see the kids, so i may come crashing down, despite not wanting to. I might just go out and leave him to it.

    Night all.
