Cooking dinner and fingers twitching!! Grrrrrr!!

Other half best not get in from work and reach for a bottle as I'm already playing justification & excuse wars in my head!

Away for weekend where I will be drinking and I just have to tell myself that if I don't get a grip of it I'll have to stop it altogether for good and ever! On a positive note I have been quit smoking for 3 + years in the summer!

    Have a good evening all!

OH drinking is always very difficult. Needs a huger amount of willpower:( I was lucky in that my DH went through a beer drinking phase when I was starting out and as I don't like beer it didn't bother me. Now my AF nights get him apologising (for his wine) and congratulating me in equal measure. Maybe he'll join me one day, although to be fair he's one of those people who can have a glass or two and then stop.

:Ton the stopping smoking stu. I've gone from 20+ to 10 a day. I'm reluctant to try cold turkey but I am finding I miss it less as I go on. All about changing habits.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    4 AFD for meeeeeeeeeee
as you can tell I am rather pleased with myself and didnt cave last night despite a HORRENDOUS shift at work- a piece of equipment broke that was sort of the equivalent of a taxi drivers car breaking down!! BUT I didnt let it turn me to drink :)

2 more AF's please and 2 for the SNC Shaggy and Mari. thanks.

    Quick update -

Blood test results came back all fine, a relief but annoying as it doesn't explain anything. I was particularly pleased about the liver being normal, as were thyroid, kidneys, usual bloods, calcium, magnesium and inflammation markers, plus a few minor checks, can't remember.

Made me feel better on that count anyway. So I guess its down to the endoscopy and the MRI to pinpoint the problem.

Slight improvement with DH this week, we chatted more on wednesday and he thinks following this, things may have changed for him. A chink in his armour may have broken? I don't know, but he is looking forward to coming round tomorrow night and spending sun with us. Finally following our convo, he has booked next week off to spend time on his truck and to clear his head. I am so pleased, he needs a break from work so he can refocus, hopefully that includes me and the kids eventually.

My parents are being particularly supportive and so has an old friend this week. I haven't felt lonely at all despite being signed off work and actually enjoying an evening by myself tonight. Kids doing ok, not great but ok.

Not AF tonight, due to an unfortunate discovery, Orange Truffle Baileys..................oh dear, oh dear!!!!!
Live for the moment and plan for the future
  • Wine tonight, with a curry, and no more than 1/2 a bottle
    Feel in control.
    Let's hope it lasts
