Or getting into pj's and cleaning teeth is another good one for not starting that first drink.

Cuppa and 41 and I know it

Just had to say big hugs to both of you. That's all. I can' think of anything useful to say but just had to say you've got friends here and someone out there is on your side and caring.

Do what you need to do - one life one chance. Tomorrow's always there and we often hurt ourselves more than anyone else does.

Just think of everything you've achieved :A:A
Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p

I felt this way earlier on today but i remembered that someone here said something along the lines of "drinking won't make the problem disappear or make it better".

In my situation it won't make my husband come home or help me deal with the children better on my own. It will only increase my lonliness, make me feel a failure and make my stomach pains worse. Plus a stinking headache and grumpy mum on the school run.

So another AF. But I am just not in a good place emotionaly, is it ok to admit to looking at depression sites/suicidal thoughts and wanting to run away. I dont know how I am going to cope anymore. Hasten to add, I am not suicidal, just feel it would be easier to not be alive than to feel how I do. I just cant stop crying, like a dripping tap, on off on off.

    Sorry for moaning.
When we go through this we feel alone, if you share it we feel more normal because someone else who feels they are the only one feeling it is not, I think about it but something stops me, I think it is that the world would just carry on when i'm gone so there's no point in going, and my moods change so much i know when its really bad that if i just stay as still as i can until i feel better it does get a bit better.

I went in the bath so hair and body squeaky clean but haven't brushed teeth, had a glass of skimmed milk and squinted my eyes so i couldn't see oh's booze in the fridge, i agree it is horrible in the morning and i feel proud that that thought has gone and I can decide when and where i want to drink. I don't need alcohol I need love but hey-ho.

Markman's said much what I want to say. I think you're both doing really well to not turn to the booze for comfort. We've all been there and it's only a temporary fix. That doesn't mean we don't sometimes enjoy that temporary fix as a bit of escapism or enjoyment. Just remember, you're in control so long as it's temporary.

I've just had 2 af days this past week, making a total of 6 af days this month. I'm going to round it up, and make it 7. Not a lot, but a start.

Next month I'll aim for 12.

Have a good day, lovely thread people. :)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
