So, one Saturday without losing control. That's a small win, and they add up.
Have a good night all.:A
Indeed they do. :T well done MarkMan. I'm a firm believer that it's being in control that matters. I've never wanted to give up but just to drink what and when I choose. I now choose to drink at weekends but I'll be back on the wagon come Monday.
Glad you had a good day cuppa. Make sure you take full advantage of 'me' time tomorrow and pamper yourself. You can hand over all the responsibility, even if it's just for the day. As for the meal out business, chalk that up as part of your list of wants if it's important to you. Do you have anyone who could babysit? Perhaps you and OH could go out for a meal and a talk away from the home & family at some point.0 -
Hope you have a lovely break shaggy
I went out last night in the end, but went to the gym and then stayed in and watched a movie this evening - I would like to be able to go out and drink on the weekends if I want to, like a 'normal' person who had self control, and so this is good practice I think and I'm feeling pretty positive about things!

Just popping on to say hi! Productive day and a quiet (though not AF) evening in prospect. Then a nice early night for school tomorrow. If only it was school, I loved school!
Anyway, have a good one everyone and good luck to those being AF.
Oh, and Christmas is coming soon:santa2: can't you feel the nights drawing in....:pSmoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general0 -
I've not been as busy as you Cuppa, but we did go away for the werkend and did a nice bit of walking in the mountains.

Well Done!!!!!! :T
Cuppa, You are doing so well. It sounds like you and the children had a fab staurday. Hope you enjoyed your day to yourself yesterday. Did you do anything nice. How did the children enjoy their day with DH??
Another horrible rainy day here. And I had to ring the credit card debt people this morning to review my payment planSo I'm consoling myself with a packet of Richtea biscuits!

No more AF for me to report - spent the weekend in Yarmouth with new fella, so a few drinks with dinner etc, and of course a couple on the pier
Aiming for an AF few nights now, no plans for the rest of the week so far...
Cuppa - I think you are feeling the same as all the other single parents out there - to begin with I really begrudged my ex having the freedom to do what he wanted, when he wanted. It's not till we talked properly that I realised how much he hated it, and would spend 24/7 with the kids if he could
Well done Markman, how is the book reading going?
Hope everyone is ok, and this weather is definitely pointing in the hot choc direction0 -
2 more AF days for a total of 4 please. Hope everyone has a good week.0

5 AF please Shaggy
Had bit of boozy weekend, but paced myself on Sat night which meant no hangover on Sun:) The afternoon was spent drinking champers and munching strawberries and shouting on the mighty Murray. Great match but disappointing result thoIt’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0 -
1st AFD of July please Shaggy.Have a fantastic break, you deserve it!
Sorry I have been AWOL, I have had a mad week and weekend, but really need to knuckle down and get some more AFD's under my belt!
Cuppa Tea Sounds like you are being really strong and doing the best for your children. I think in many separation's whoever has care of the children can have a challenging time and this can bring frustration. Just remember you are ensuring there is a stable loving environment for them and that is more important than anything else. Sending big hugs, make sure you take care of yourself xx
Hope everyone is OK, I'm off for an early night now!
