    Great posts on here today.

365, your bit about pubs caught my eye. I've never been a great pub drinker but have taken to going in recent years for meals and the odd bit of socialising. Near me there's a 'drinking' bar which is so obviously different from the bright, smart wine bars. The people who frequent it (from mid-morning) look old, grey and worn. I find that passing there on a day when I'm having a wobble does me good. I don't want to end up like that. I want to be in control and choose when and if I want to drink in nice places.

I'm also a wine drinker and I think I enjoy the glass (es) when I'm cooking more than those with my meal!

    Very proud of you all!:T

3 AFDS for me please shaggy and 2 for the snc please Bearacus. Hoping to make tonight sn number 3-i had a sod it moment on Monday when i felt i deserved some wine as I'd been so good over Christmas and New Year-had about a bottle of red and then scoffed loads of crackers and stilton so piling on more weight. I felt awful in the morning especially as I drank it on my own and stayed up far too late. However was af on Tuesday and Wednesday and hopefully tonight. Crazy mum-thanks for sharing your story with us on this post-I think you are doing brilliantly. 365-it rang a bell with me when you said that you were struggling to stick to the targets you set on here and it made you give up altogether. I really struggle too-wine is a bad weakness of mine. Here's to an alcohol free night tonight.

I don't think I have ever come accross such a lovely bunch of people in my life.
Thankyou for beautiful wonderful comments - I learn so much from you all and reading all this.
Cleggie - was thinking of you today with the lovely list of 'to dos' which you wrote.... to think about doing of an evening, I shall re read tomorrow and make a plan.

Bearacus - I think I'm going to be ok....I feel horrible and emotional from writing my deepest darkest horribles - no one has been told those before, not all put together like that. But having done it, I feel really positive. Like now I know and understand why I don't want alcohol in my life. I also realise I've been fairly good at pretending even to myself that it was all ok - when it obviously wasn't.

Feeling positive for this evening - and never in a million years would I have done this without you all. Sending good, positive vibes to everyone for a happy evening :)
and ((hugs)) to everyone who needs them....

I'd better get a move on or children will not be fed, washing up, hoovering, lunch boxes, tidying, cleaning to do....living the dream....oh yes :rotfl:

Think i am going to be needing to keep myself busy this evening.
Have been thinking about buying a bottle of wine a day, and am really struggling with the thought of thid evening and tomorrow evening being AF.
I dont know why though :(

That meant to say ' i have been thinking about buying a bottle of wine 'ALL' day, not 'a' day, sorry, dodgy L key!!

Cleggie- Firstly forget about tomorrow. One day at a time. Are you Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired. If so do something about those things or at least recognise where the problem lies. There is something called 'self sabotage' you may be interested in googling. Btw have you told your counsellor about your drinking, I had counselling for years and never told them about my drink problem ......talk about skirting around the issue!!

Thanks 365days- i am tired more than anything, with having to start getting up early in the mornings again since the kids going back to school etc.
Maybe i should just grit my teeth, get through the early evening and go to sleep about 9pm the same time as my older son.

No, i havent mentioned it to my counselor- maybe i should.

Noooooooooooooo Cleggie ....... no wine for you tonight, I need to walk this one through with you. We began this one together.....little tiny steps at a time. Have a mini pamper evening - think of some small thing to do for yourself tonight.....I'm going to have a think now of what my treat might be....

Then a little tv and early to bed - remember how good you feel in the mornings when you don't drink .....
and then remember how crap you feel when you drink.

Tomorrow I need to see your AFD - on day 7 we get a cool thumbs up :D

Walk with me :) and we will get there....
