Don't worry about musing and asking questions crazymum, if it helps you it might easily help someone else. That's what the thread is for, not just congratulating each other (although we like that too:D).

My own musing on the subject: I think the answer to your 'identity' thing is that real friends will just accept that you've given up even if it takes them a while to get used to it, those who can't accept it or make nasty comments are probably jealous. If you lose friends like that, so what? With your DH you'll just have to let him make his own decision. If he thinks you giving up drinking is an implied criticism then he must think there's something that needs criticising??? I don't know if I'm right, it just seems logical. Anyhow, you clocked up one more tonight so:T

Well done legsand for getting one on the board and :Tfor everyone with immaculate kitchens and freezers!

Another for me so that's 3 for January and the SNC please.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

You're making my day crazymum with your waves and hugs and excitement - lovin it :)

One of my holdbacks is an identity thing - I'm a bit of a foodie and I cook a lot and I can't quite ever lose the idea that I'm a wine drinker. I can control all the rest - in fact I'm a normal drinker around other drinks - a cold lager in the garden on a hot day or a small whisky after a long cold walk - only very occasionally and only an odd one. But wine - it's every day and it starts with the cook's glass when I'm making dinner and carrys on from there.

Anyway - keep it up folks - everyone is doing terrific and 1 more AFD for me please Shaggy. Not brill but I'll keep going.

    Morning all!

Well done everyone for another AF evening!

Gardenanna- i am the same with the wine too. I dont mind the odd lager, i am not keen on spirits, but wine is my downfall. Like you, i too start when making dinner (and i love to cook) and carries on into the evening.

Crazymum- you aren't behaving like a 6 yr old, and even if you were, it doesnt matter. You have every right to be proud of yourself!

I have just walked my son to school in the horrid wind out there. We normally drive, especially in this weather, but i thought it may help to blow the cobwebs away. And that it did! It was a lovely walk. I am hoping that doing that walk twice a day will help me lose weight.

Have a great day everyone, and thanks Shaggy for keeping score for us.x.
