18 AFD please Shaggy. Thank you for scoring.

I am fine thank you Bearacus. x I have been reading through the thread quite a lot as I am having a bit of a break form drinking. At least up to the end of February. I will have to get my head into the right place for the weekend challenge. My MIL is visiting on Saturday and I always find any visitors stressful, that is just something I need to find some peace and ease with generally (no fault of my MIL).

Well done Bearacus on slipping quietly into total AFness :T. Is this a permanent, conscious change? Or something that you are happy to play with? Please feel free to ignore my snooping... x

Chilli red - The only reason I am doing well is I had a shock that has made me triple determined to give up IYKWIM
2 glasses a day is good :j(unless they are half bottle sizes like mine lol)

I am nearly half way thru the book, and so far, I would say it is well worth the £9
It also recommends you are still drinking whilst your read it(not at the same time)
I fear I am going to turn into a preacher

You can only give yourself a break when you are ready

Oh, and are you finding it strange that the top smilie is 'have a beer'!

    T

Tracy, you are doing so well  :p If you want to preach, go ahead I am more than ready to be converted. I'm going to get there, I know what I am like and would fall off the wagon by ten o'clock if I thought this is it. Keep up the good work lovely x x
  • Hi Everyone, oldies, newbies and 'inbetweeners'!

    Morning :hello:

1 more AFD for the SNC Bearacus.

My alcohol spreadsheet is 2 and a half years old and I've just added columns that give a percentage which shows how often I drank more units per week than recommended by the government. (If I had the time I could probably do I column that gives a percentage of how often I drank more than government recommended units each day!) The percentages don't look that shabby - particularly this years and give me something else to aim for....I think I should have a similar spreadsheet for chocolate.....:-)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

And I thought it was just me:)
  • Miss Piggy and Beckseven - so pleased to hear you are feeling tired too....I have never felt so tired :(
and whoever said go to sleep for the day - I should be so lucky...

Cleggie - I'd never thought about the caffeine in tea, have now bought a huge box of decaffeinated tea and will switch to that - thankyou.

Bearacus :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T WOW what a fabulous achievement - you just seem to quietly get on with it..... well done you.

Tracy so pleased you're getting on well with the book....he wrote the giving up smoking book as well - they changed my life and have helped me so much.

Not feeling so good today - in general at the moment. A bit depressed, very emotional. When people talked a while back about issues - I have a whole bucket load full. However they really are not very much use in life and I would very much like to be rid of the whole lot. I just don't really know how to go about it.
I seem to be the sort of person who goes through life collecting them - they start from childhood. I do know though how destructive they can be - my brother didn't speak to our family for 10 years and still has nothing to do with my Dad (who is terribly ill). I think it's just so sad, I have no desire to hurt anyone with my issues - it just that they hurt me.
I would like to be no nonsense about it all like Maman, I really don't want to be a moany groany issue person. There is no space in my life for it.
I just don't really know how I'm meant to deal with them and move on.
I get the feeling that I'm clutching at straws here and that no one will know what to say. I apologise it's just that I don't really know where else to turn or what I'm supposed to do.

Better go - falling to pieces today and need to be at work.
    Sorry for being a misery.
Need to wipe the tears and find my smiley face :)

crazy mum - do your work offer any counselling sessions?
Or maybe go through your docs? I have had psychotherapy for 3 separate periods in my life, and just talking/examining things through with a 'neutral' changed my life enormously
May have to go back for a top up session soon - families eh!
    Tracy x

PS, was me who said to sleep for a day - peeps at work booked off sick and slept whilst the kids were at school - time well spent as I don't have to breathe their germs anymore :)
