    Got friends coming round for Sunday lunch so set alarm for 8am to prepare the joint, doing a slow roast pork and then went back to bed with a cuppa.:)

    :drool::drool::drool:

    We really adore slow roast pork, especially the Jamie Oliver recipe(with apologies to MissP and family)!:rotfl:Hope you and yours have a good time at lunchtime. Sun is also beaming down here but I'm in the deep south. Shame about your target mackeroo but you have to rationalise things and say that the odd bit of sensible, social drinking still shows that you're controlling the alcohol and not vice versa. I find that sometimes social functions come thick and fast but you can always clock up extra days in quiet times.

    :T cleggie, reaching target's a lovely feeling but if you can exceed it then that's amazing.

    Not AF today, as will enjoy a few with roast beef dinner later. Back with you all tomorrow.

    Playground politics - OMG I hated it. :eek:The only thing is, I don't get to hear about things now that I don't have to go to meet my DDs! :mad: Still, I'd rather that than stand there with a lot of those women!! :rotfl:I seriously think I am a bit antisocial :o

    I didn't manage to get through the weekend AF, but I only had 1 drink on each night. Seem to have managed to get the alcohol consumption somewhere near control.

    Thanks for the reply Bearacus. You made a really positive decision in difficult circumstances. Amazing!

    Well I managed the weekend AF so I'm on 21 AFD now Shaggy. x
  • well done everyone on being AF and hugs to those that need them x

    in the past few days I've only had one AF day.

    was at a family party last night and wine was the only thing making it bearable. it was either the wine or the buffet to keep me occupied and i chose wine, helped by the fact my drink was topped up before i even finished it and my uncle was egging me on to down it so he could refill it. thankfully we left early and got out of it.

    im hoping for a good march but its my birthday and were moving house so prob going to need a few drinks here and there. i need to be AF as much as possible now, I'm doing the Sport Relief 3 mile run at the end of march and the great manchester run in may and running with hangovers will not end well.
