PLEASE PUT YOUR TARGET AFDs IN A BOLD RED FONT and good luck! (and if I've made any mistakes, don't be shy, please let me know!)

    EVERYONE WELCOME
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • Morning guys . AF last night for the 1st time in ages so another one please Shaggy. Wanted to post last night but didn't trust myself until after the pubs had shut. I think it's a mixture of not just the drinking but also the social side of it for me. I have beer in the house but that doesn't generally bother me. It's when DH goes to bed (quite early usually) and I get bored and lonely, is when my danger time is.

Will go TF again for March please Shaggy, as it's my 40th birthday at the end of the month  and DH is going to take me for a weekend to London all being well.

Thanks for all your good wishes again guys, Mum seems to be holding her own at the mo, although she is sleeping a lot x

Did anyone find that their skin got worse when they gave up the drink?!? I thought mine would improve, esp as I have been doing the healthy eating and drinking lots of water...
Suprised I haven't been ill yet - without the alcohol to kill the germs :rotfl:

It's a big decision tracy, not one I'd like to have to make. Good Luck. I have heard of skin problems. I think it's like the equivalent of a detox.

Good to see you posting rachel and good news about your mum. I know it's hard for you but it's good that you see having an AF night as an option/default. Is the pub very close to hand?
  • Just whizzing on quickly.

Rachel - glad your Mum is ok.

    22 please Shaggy!

  • Yes maman, the pub is less than a 5 minute walk away. I will be going tonight to play bingo, not sure if I'll be drinking yet. Mind you, lady muck has just come down the stairs at work, had a fag, put the kettle on, and went back upstairs without making it. Grrrrrrr, it makes my blood boil, as I only drink water at work. Why should I traipse up and down the stairs making drinks for people when it's everyone job

Thanks Miss P x. Glad your school run went ok yesterday. I'm another who doesn't do playground politics. I just can't stand the clickyness at the school gates so I just drop and run. I think my DH knows more of the mums than I do ;)

  • Evening everyone,
Been a while since I posted - not great on the AFness recently, though not mad on the wine either.

Good news on your mum rachel - so pleased for youxx

Sat here nodding my head at all the comments about the school run.....I absolutely loathe it and avoid at all costs. My DH drops DD1 most days and he is now an honorary "Yr 1 mum" !!

    18 AFDs please Shaggy

Now you mention it, I did become Ms. Spotty in the middle of January. It didn't last long, mind.

I'm up to 59 days AF now. February featured Husband's birthday and two meals with friends, which I thought would really test my resolve, but I'm happy to report that The Power Of The Book (Allen Carr, that is) is still holding and I wasn't tempted. Fizzy water is my new treat that I only have on such occasions.

Still lurking in the corner and taking in all the positive vibes here:D

Wow, that is good for me to hear! I am on the last few pages of the book, still not sure where I am going with it.
Mum not helping at the mo, we are going out on Fri, and she doesn't see why I am driving  If it were me, I would be well chuffed I was getting a free lift
I hope my complexion gets better soon, I thought it was bad because I drank so much, not the other way..

Just done an hour of wii step, with a pint of water lol

    10 AF days now :j

Well done everyone on AF ness :)
