Miss P how horrible for you and Piglet:( I'm, sending you some smileyhug.gif too.
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

PLEASE PUT YOUR TARGET AFDs IN A BOLD RED FONT and good luck! (and if I've made any mistakes, don't be shy, please let me know!)

    EVERYONE WELCOME

  • 16 please, Shaggy, thanks

Miss P: I agree with Maman's advice - it will make things much easier for you when you see the other mother, but she sounds horrible, no wonder her little darling is so foul.

Crazy Mum: I am carrying around lots of issues from childhood , but read recently that it's really bad for your mental and physical help, so making huge effort to try and forgive and forget. I had NHS counselling for a while, but it really didn't help me. You are doing brilliantly with your AF-ness and NS-ness. You are an inspiration! :T

Bearacus: thanks for sharing your story, you are an inspiration too.:T:T

Have a good weekend all. I'm working on a project again - a pain, but it really helps to keep me AF. ;)

  • Afternoon all

    20 please Shaggy!!!:T

Maman, crazymum, pricey and shaggy - thanks for all your sensible words and hugs. Yesterday was horrible and I felt quite sick all day (I hate confrontation). Plan of action is that Monday I will apologise to my sons teacher. I was planning on speaking to this woman on Monday to clear the air, but have heard since that she texted my close friend yesterday asking if she could take her (my close friends) son to a play area with her son on Sunday. My friend let me know as she thought it was really odd! They've never really spoken much before so it came out of the blue. Strikes me as very childish and, to be honest, I think I would be best avoiding this woman completely. For my own sanity!

BUT - the goods news is that I didn't resort to the pinot grigio last night! Did one better and went to visit Mum and Dad for the evening!:D Me and Piglet had a nice time and forgot our worries for a while. It was good.

Anyway, must stop rambling again! Lovely day out there and I intend to get out and enjoy it! Have been stuck in all morning making a rainbow fish costume and have blisters on my fingers from using crappy scissors to cut scales out of material!!:rotfl:

Hope everyone is ok and is planning a lovely saturday

    Miss P

  • Just had to drop by and say what an absolutely lovely lovely bunch of people you all are.

Well done Miss P for not resorting to drinking :j it only makes you feel worse when you're feeling cross already (I used to find anyway). Glad you had a lovely evening - just remember that karma will sort it all out, don't you let it wind you up anymore.

Shaggy - you are soooooo right. I always try to remember my old couple that I work for - they went through the war and had to deal with all sorts of terribles.....we don't really know nothing.....blessings and all that. (I'm really not sure that I would count my 4 teenage boys in the blessings thing ;))

Hope you all have a wonderful week - sun has been glorious here today....we're off to Tenerife to see my poor old Dad tomorrow. 2.30am start to the journey  and will be back next weekend.

Thankyou all so much for just being the most wonderful, caring, lovely bunch of people, I will miss you :o

25 days AF please Shaggy :D
  • Some lovely vibes on this thread at the moment. And I've had no wine so far tonight, and it's Saturday!!

    xxxx
  • Whoop whoop, what a difference a week makes!! This time last week I was oblivious :(
    Made it to 7 AFD!!!

Have read some more of the book - in the bath instead of my usual wine - feeling massively inspired, and want everyone to read it lol

Miss Piggy - completely agree, avoid that Mum. I can't stand playground politics, deliberately go late to avoid it all :)

    Hope all ok x

  • Good morning all!

Wasn't AF here last night but didnt drink too much and, as a result, am up and about early today. Piglet is spending today with Daddy as I am off to a giant flea market at the Bath and West Showground with my Mum and Dad.

    Have good Sundays everyone!

  • Hi Everyone
No more AF days to report was out for dinner with DH on Fri night and had a cocktail and couple of glasses of wine. For me to reach target this month i was aiming to be AF last night but i didnt resist the offer of a wine with dinner, so ive blown the months target.

Got friends coming round for Sunday lunch so set alarm for 8am to prepare the joint, doing a slow roast pork and then went back to bed with a cuppa.:)
Even though not had alot to drink on Fri and Sat eve, im a right grouch in the morning (more than normal:o) and it took me a few mins to figure out why and its totally related to alcohol.
Im jealous of everyone mentioning the sun, we've had rain for the last few days bet we get the nice weather tomorrow when im back at work!
Have a good Sunday everyone x
