  • Hi everyone.

Just popping in to report nsd #6 for me.
I have ordered and paid for wedding invites today, but they are from a different pot and discounted so I don't count it as a 'spend'.

Jinty I wish I could offer some wise words... I'm a teacher so barely get a minute spare for internet surfing at work, and if I do then it's in 'my own time'. I think that if you're feeling aggrieved by it then you should send your email and discuss it further. I wouldn't imagine for a second you're the only one that ever does it (or that the boss doesn't do it).

Jinty, feel free to rant, I can totally understand you being angry, sounds like you are totally taken for granted where you work, and I bet your manager uses the internet for personal stuff too, frankly so long as it doesn't interfere with your work and you're not working in front of the public (for example surfing fleabay at airport checkin might not be advisable) I think most companies accept a certain amount of useage will happen.
Oops sorry Kerri! I told you I am shocking with names and memory - thanks for the heads up anyway, I think I will just go on Thursday to make sure :)

lol! np, I'm the same with names - great memory for everything else though which is odd.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes we have a micro although the queues can get long! Couscous is a good suggestion, I get very hungry and soup alone wouldn't fill the void. ;) I wonder though, is it really cheaper to bring your own, NSD notwithstanding?

I deff think taking your own lunch is cheaper, if you think £3 for a bought lunch x 5 days per week x 4 weeks per month (at least) = £60 a month! Yes, you do have to buy bread or rolls for sarnies, and something to put in, but often you can use things you already have in too (hard boil eggs and make your own egg mayo etc).

As mentioned I also often take in leftovers, when I'm cooking pasta, casserole, chilli, etc I'll freeze a few portions so I can grab something from the freezer to heat up, or perhaps some cold pasta salad or something in the summer. My one weakness is bought soup, but I will only but it when it's on offer for £1 and that does me two lunches so not too bad.

Rising - OH has a thermos that I use for car boots to take tea. It was from John Lewis too, can't find it on their site atm (it was ages ago he got it) but here it is from another site - ideal for one person and a tin of soup

No NSD for me today, had a massage at work to help my neck (beauty therapist comes to the office every 3weeks) - ideal timing and £20 well spent. also got some more omega 3,6,9 from S'Drug, cheapest I could find AND on BOGOF so 6mths supply for £7. :D

Also found yet more xmas cards reduced today in a charity shop, slightly cheaper than the 99p WH Smith ones, so now totally torn on what to do - so much to decide over something so trivial :o However, once I've made my mind up I will be able to declare a NSD for last fri as some cards will be going back whatever.

Oh, I did take two items back to MnS today so that was £10 back into my back :A
