NSD #6 :j for me today not looking as good for rest of the week though!
I am a soup at work eater - it is significantly cheaper making it yourself, soup can be made out of pretty much anything (i include any veggies looking a bit sad in the fridge and save things like broccoli stalks chopped up in a bag and popped in the freezer, or leftover veg from dinner frozen in a bag and chucked in to bulk out my next batch, also using things like lentils add protein and fibre and make it more filling), I use the microwave at work but have used a flask which works really well, remember to preheat your flask with some hot water out of the kettle left over from your morning cuppa prior to filling it with your soup before work!0 -

I'm barely entitled to any tax credits any more but am currently investigating childcare vouchers through my work. I need to save every penny I can.
Sounds like we are in the same boat desperetly trying to save here. DD1 goes to a childminder in the holidays and she charges 140 a week thats without meals.

Started off well but have not done since well recently. DD vomited all over my car so had to get it valeted (must admit it does look lovely now). Then had to call plumber out to a leak but all fixed now. Hoping for no more dramas and some nsd's now!!! Well done everyone on their nsd's.

NSD NSD NSD! Success, and on a Monday and everything, even though I've been to the shopping centre after work, I returned what I needed to and didn't even go into any other shops :A So that's #5 for me.
wannabehermit That's really annoying, hope everything goes well on Wednesday for you.
For packed lunches I try to vary from week to week. This week I'm on sandwiches, sometimes I do rice salad or pasta salad. I take soup and a roll (wholemeal cos it allegedly keeps you full for longer) when I'm feeling particularly wintery, or curry/daal and rice, all of which I batch cook and freeze, then microwave at lunchtime. HTH.
I seem to remember there is a packed lunch thread on the OS board which might help as well.
Have a good evening all
