Jinty, well done for standing up for yourself and for such a polite but firm email. We all hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. :)

Wow! Just finished catching up, as I've had very little on-line time since Friday evening....

Friday should have been an NSD, even though I bought dried milk powder from Mr T after I left the gym - I'd put the money for that to one side on Thursday after refusing to pay what they wanted for it in the shops within walking distance of home. I was very proud of myself as it's a huuuuge store, and I only came out with the one item :) Unfortunately tmy window cleaners decided my windows were dirty and had the nerve to ask for payment !!!

Saturday was NSD #4 - morning saw me out for a run, then a quick tidy around (while my breadmaker produced a loaf and a brisket joint cooked in my slow cooker) before a shower and change (then slicing of bread and meat) in time for evening company

Sunday was NSD #5 - had company all day, and my elder son turned up as he'd decided it was high time someone from the family got to meet & vet my new chap :rotfl:

Today should have been an NSD, but I ended up having a wander around Mr M and came home with a few bits and bobs including some Whoopsied Mozerella balls which I'm going to use with some garlic and coriander pitta breads to make a pizza style meal, and some Whoopsied double cream to try and make butter like I keep reading of people doing. Also got 3 packs of Whoopsied braising steak for 99p each (total for just those should have been £9.15) and a special offer pork joint (half price) which I'm going to cook up and then put through my slicer to make sandwich meat.

Tomorrow won't be an NSD either, as 10th of the month is always a direct debit day - although the last payment on that one goes out either next month or March :T

    Good Morning,

Would like to declare NSD #8 and reached my target of 4 in a row again :T

Actually don't need to spend anything today either so I might just make it 5 in a row but who knows what the day will bring :)

    Have a great Tuesday x x

  • Morning all,

Managed to get up to 4 NSD's over yesterday and Saturday.

Slowly getting there, I doubt I'll get to 20 looking at the calendar but will come very close.

The very first post of the NSD Thread always has links to other bits of the MSE site, covering things like packed lunches to make-your-own sweets etc. Have a nosey ;) & see if anything grabs your eye...
....I had my induction for work over the weekend. Came out Sat feeling really positive, really looking forward to getting in there today. Came out of there yesterday really peed off at yet another time of being messed around and them not doing what they said and finding out that actually they don't want me to start until Weds, so childcare paid for for today & tomorrow that isn't needed. Worried that I've already been chalked up as a pain in the bum and all this hassle that has been surrounding it is going to put me in a bad position when I go in and start properly. :(
I'd be angry too WBH; what a way to start a new chapter in your Book of Life :o All I will say (for fear of being 'off-topic' ;) ) is find out if there's a Union you can join, sooner rather than later. I know it's another bill to find of a month but the benefits are many, I didn't know how good they could be till I needed help. Good Luck, & hope this is the only gaff the bosses make :)

I must have missed Jints post about her employment woes, but same advice for you My Friend. Not quite sure what happened this time, but do check your Contract of Employment to see if there are rules & regs--eg personal use of the computer--down in writing, or if it's a jumped up jobsworth throwing their weight about, in hopes the big boys will let them play in their garden
 A pain to get an appointment, but don't forget Citizens Advice are pretty useful too & know where to look first when it comes to defending your rights.

To business *slicks back hair to DA; dons drainpipes, drapes & blue swede shoes; grabs mike & starts singing a la Billy Fury..* "han I'm haff whey to Pear-ree-dyes" cuz I got me no 5 yesterday *Elvis style knee jerks* Thangyouverrymush n GudNaight!

 *nervous giggle* Actually I'm on 6, because I didn't post for Sunday's not-spend-athon *nervous laugh* Silly me :o  *backs out the door, trying & failing miserably, to look nonchalant*

Makes mental note on cerebral stickies, to look for spell check on this poota or invest in a pocket-sized dictionary if going to use big words too often!
