Another spend day today. I'm never going to manage if I don't start taking my own lunch to work. Ideas gratefully accepted!

Should manage a NSD tomorrow as I am working from home. I do have things to post, but they are eBay sales so going to use the theory of another poster and say the buyer actually spent the money, not me ;)

Cous cous with various bits.... chicken/ham/veg....

Do you have a microwave? I used to take last night leftovers to warm up when I worked somewhere that did.

Soup? I have a great thermal flask which keeps soup warm for 10 hours so would warm it up in the morning and at lunch it would still be hot.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes we have a micro although the queues can get long! Couscous is a good suggestion, I get very hungry and soup alone wouldn't fill the void. ;) I wonder though, is it really cheaper to bring your own, NSD notwithstanding?

  • I've got 1 more nsd to declare taking me so far to 4 for the month. That was for yesterday. Nothing Saturday as we got a bottle of wine, and nothing today as I've been to Lidl. No spends planned so far for tomorrow or Weds so hopefully get a couple more in the bag before shopping on Thursday.

I had my induction for work over the weekend. Came out Sat feeling really positive, really looking forward to getting in there today. Came out of there yesterday really peed off at yet another time of being messed around and them not doing what they said and finding out that actually they don't want me to start until Weds, so childcare paid for for today & tomorrow that isn't needed. Worried that I've already been chalked up as a pain in the bum and all this hassle that has been surrounding it is going to put me in a bad position when I go in and start properly. :(

Hi all, NSD No. 7 today, despite putting £20 in my SP. That came out of an allocated amount for an outing which we didn't go on. If left in the bank it would disappear on something else.
If, I was enjoying your Rockin' Kitty and 'Give peace a chance' by John Lennon came on the radio. Your Kitty kept perfect time with it, that must be what he/she's listening to on the headphones. :rotfl:
