NSD 6 for me so halfway there, might just achieve 12 yet.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Do I declare NSD now, or see whether I give in to the McD urges?
I shall wait to see if the BG engineer comes or not.
Was told 1-6pm and no sign yet. If he doesn't show, then McD might be just what I need!
  • Hello all! Make this NSD number 6 for me. Nearly halfway there. Last week wasn't helped by the stupid trip to the stupid dentist. Grrrrr.
  • How to burn off those christmas pounds!! :D

With books, I regularly prune them out and give a lot away to CS. I only have the ones I really love as I dont have space anymore to keep a lot.
However, I think the Kindle will be good for the commute to work and also for holidays when I always take about 6 books!
I have listed all my stuff on Fbay and I discovered I have Nectar points I can convert so the £89 is in sight! :j

I've sold/given away a lot of my books and now only have ones by my favourite authors where I've got all their books .... but still run out of room for these on my bookcase:( and really can't bear to part with them!

For anyone thinking of buying a Kindle - also keep an eye on Mr T (realise you can't use your Nectar points etc here). I got mine when they had a £10 off £75 spend which helped a bit and once my club*card vouchers were taken off too..... I ended up paying £63 for mine.:)

Well, best laid plans and all that ..... my NSD week has got off to a VERY bad start. Totally forgot I had the dentist today ..... 1 filling & a clean and the purse was £28 lighter. I always need the clean (my teeth are terrible and break all the time - told it's 'cos I've had Crohn's since an early age) and I hate it as my gums really hurt. Asked the dentist today if an electric toothbrush would help and was told "yes" - so as I'd already spent, I popped to B**ts and managed to get one 1/2 price. Hoping it'll make a difference and if I don't need them cleaned every time I go, it will pay for itself quickly.

Does anyone else have one? If so, has it made a difference to your teeth (guess I'm a bit late asking, since I've bought it :rotfl:but would be good to know) and any tips for using it:eek: TIA

Well,my first day back at work went quite well.I'm off now until Thursday,so can't complain.

    No DDs today,so I'm claiming #11 please.

if love the kitty photo!I've managed to replace the battery in my pedometer,so I'm determined to take 10 000 steps minimum a day....today and yesterday are in the bag.:) Got to start somewhere,as I no longer go running.

miss_t hope today's a better day for you.Sometimes the best we can do is get through the day.I have found in the past that deciding on 'three things that I've done today that I'm proud of' has helped/helps me a lot.I've had days when my 'three' were 1. made the bed 2. had a wash 3. did the dishes,so it doesn't need to be big things, but it has helped me to see that I achieve something every day, even if it's little things...Don't know if this helps.....January is not the easiest of months either. One day at a time is a good was of thinking.(((hugs)))

ETA rising I have an electric toothbrush, bought it a few years ago.My teeth definitely feel cleaner after I brush them.I don't know if there's less work for the hygienist, cos it's always a bit of an ordeal anyway.I'm quite happy to go,but my teeth are quite sensitive.I've haven't needed any fillings these last few years.I do floss every day, sometimes more than once a day,I'm sure that that helps as well.I certainly wouldn't want to use anything other than an electric toothbrush now.HTH.

Well not had a good weekend/start to the week so took my children for a MCDonalds yesterday-bad mother I know.
Was determined today not to spend money just because I am miserable and I haven't. Just meed to make sure I do not look at the Grabbit board.

So will declare NSD 9 for me.
