Didn't manage a NSD yesterday as I had to post a parcel and it wasn't one which I'd made money from (eg Ebay) so I had to count it as a spend!
Today I'm taking money from my change pot to buy a paper as there's a voucher for £5 off when you spend £40 in Morrisons this week, and I get paid on Friday :j The same paper apparently also has a voucher for a free box of 80 teabags. It's the Mirror for those of you in Englandshire and should be the Daily Record for those of us north of the border0 -
Phew! Finally managed to grab another NSD yesterday taking my up to 5
M&S £2878.22/ Natwest £3526/ Loan £405/ [STRIKE]Sofa £0[/STRIKE]/ [STRIKE]Ring £0[/STRIKE]/
Savings £12.04 NSD 3/10 :cool:Total £6915.88

Good Morning,
No NSD yesterdayThe DD's twisted my arm up my back and tortured me endlessly until I agreed to buy them a takeaway for their dinner
It's the first one we've had for about 3 months so I didn't feel too bad but warned them it'll be another 3 months until we have one again
Hoping for lots of NSD's this week though and I might even reach my target :T
Have a great Monday (if there is such a thing)

Beanielou and Kerri gt, thank you for the kind messages. I think it is a a combination of feeling poorly, January blues and an awful week at work - which has led to feeling poorly as I haven't slept or eaten much since things kicked off.
I know once things settle down, I will feel better. Just angry with myself for letting people get to meI know I should just rise above it, but for some reason I've been unable to this time
Will just take it one day at a time, and will treat myself to some pretty new Jam Jars at the end of the month when I try to make marmalade for the first time!
Miss T - I read your previous post too - I think you've done a marvellous job with the debt clearing. You should be proud of yourself! I know, some days you just cant see anything in a positive light no matter what.
Re jamjars - have a look on Freecycle, sometimes folks give them away for free - then you can spend the jamjar money on a wee treat for you;)
In the meantime heres something to cheer you upNargleblast wrote: »Been busy in another life the past few days (4 night shifts this week so don't quite know what planet I am on yet) - however, I have been a good little NSD-er because I am now on (drum roll, fanfare and cheerleading chickens, please!).... 7 NSDs!!!!!
Rock on Nargle!
Sorry Nargle, couldnt find chickens - will this do?bottleofred wrote: »Kerri,
I think you and littlemisshappy should both be on commission for the glowing references you have given the kindle. You've convinced me to buy myself one and I look forward to taking ownership very soon. Mind you, I was fairly convinced earlier, but you both have given me sufficient information to purchase. Thanks again for all your help and greatly appreciated.:T
Red:)
Red, how exciting! I'm selling a load of stuff on fleabay in the hope of buying one too!
Let me know how you get on when it arrives.
I seem to have stirred up a bit of interesting chat re the Kindle.
I can see both sides as I love books and cds and cant see myself gving them up completely. When I got an Ipod, I "pruned" my collection and kept the CDs I really couldnt bear to part with and sold the rest. With books, I regularly prune them out and give a lot away to CS. I only have the ones I really love as I dont have space anymore to keep a lot.
However, I think the Kindle will be good for the commute to work and also for holidays when I always take about 6 books!
I have listed all my stuff on Fbay and I discovered I have Nectar points I can convert so the £89 is in sight! :j
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Good morning chums!
I can report #8 for yesterday please!
Did absolutely nothing yesterday as I wasnt feeling 100%. Went back to bed ( yes, with my book) and spent most of the day in my jammies!
Back to work today, but after today I am off for the rest of the week! :j Yahoo!
Have a great day everyone:)

hoping for another nsd today but will wait till a bit later to declare just in case!Learning to keep within budgets !

Saturday spends went as planned - milk (and only milk) from Mr M, having settled my P@yP@l invoice and paid for my road tax on-line before I headed down. Had a take-away (Chinese) for tea, but my chap paid for that
Yesterday was another NSD though, so that was #9 for me :T
Spend day today though, as my Council Tax D/Debit has gone out of the bank
Means it's time for me to decide about entering a few races later this year, as I could pay for entry today without losing another NSD and I promised myself I'd make a decision about 1 of them (Prest0n Marathon at the end of October) this week. The others are a 10km organised by my club on 1st April and a half-marathon in June (which may already be full booked anyway). There's also a 10km on 29th January I'd like to do, as my personal best (fastest) time for that distance is from doing this race last year - but I can't book a place until GD3 arrives, as sod's law says I'll book and then she'll be late to the point I can't take part! (Will have to be sure to enter that one the day she arrives if it's before then, as I'll already have lost an NSD paying for parking at the hospital)
