Managed to bag a very unexpected NSD # 11 yesterday. Didn't manage today as I had to go out and get a few bits for work.
Feeling quite poorly today and a fair bit down in the dumps which is making me very unmotivated.Doesn't help that I am looking at all the things I have to pay out for this month! However, next month will be different I am sure, as I have just paid my last credit card off and have emailed them to close the account (I only got it for a balance tranfer so it has done it's job) so that's one less thing to pay out. 2 more months left and I will only have my mortgage and Student loan to worry about (fingers crossed).
I know I am in a much better situation now than I was last year but I am just feeling awful at the moment. Think I am just having one of those weeks when everything goes wrong and I just want to go and buy something to cheer me up!However, the MSE part of me won't let me regardless of how upset I am!

Hi all, very happy to declare NSD No 9 today. That is despite walking around Mr M's with DD. She'd bought herself a cd/dvd shelf unit yesterday for approx £7, half price, so she went today to pick up another one. I did see some bargains in the cheap aisle but couldn't squeeze through the crowd, I must get rid of all this post xmas flab. :rotfl:
Warm hugs to all.

Declaring early today but I'm not going anywhere today.
So that's NSD#80 -
Blinkin chilly here tonight (our wheelie bin lid has frosted shut)
Ours do that fairly regularly - especially if it's been raining.
If you pop a small stone under one of the corners of the lid (really small so it's literally only open a tiny crack) it stops it freezing. HTH
Have you picked a jacket yet?:Dbottleofred wrote: »Having read some of the posts about the kindle from the last few days, I would own up to being sceptical. However, I had to go over to help MIL set up hers today and am surprised how interesting I found the whole thing. I even talked her into downloading a book so I could see how quickly it happened;) It did occur to me though that it probably won't be that long until hers is full, as it's a 2gb version (I think) and wondered what will happen when it's full, as I'd be quite annoyed to delete books off that I'd already paid for, in order to pay for more books etc.
You can move your kindle docs onto your pc (and vice versa) so imagine there's some way of saving them off (maybe creating an archive folder so you can easily move them back?) - (you can also download software to read them on the pc and other devices) ..... I think you can get around 1400 - 1500 books on one - yet to reach this yet! So far I've about 60 books on it & I've only paid for 2!
Spendy weekendpopped to Mr A*di yesterday for stuff for lunches (took advantage of not needing milk which is why I usually have to go to Mr A) but the downside of that was that I usually get petrol when I'm at Mr A ..... was passing on the way to DMs earlier & had less than 1/4 tank so seemed silly not to get it then - rather than have to make the 18 mile round trip in the next couple of days.
Hoping for a really good NSD week - no excuses ... car full, stuff for lunches etc:)
Still haven't got a flask tho':( - may have to hunt around just now & try to get today as I've already spent;) Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyoneGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

9th NSD only 6 more to go but haven't reached my target of 4 in a row yet:(
I'm not feeling great today think i may have that sickness bug:( Really hope I feel a lot better tomorrow.
Wannabe I am with you on the whole book and CD thing. I only ever buy CDs (the odd record aswell) I can't imagine not buying a CD why would you just down load music? I get such enjoyment from holding the CD, reading it and just having it there, same thing with books. I love finding an old tape or record I had forgotten about and playing it, bringing all those memories back. I have been trying to replace my old tapes with CDs but the mix tapes I made as a kid I will never get rid of. I don't books from bookshops as much as Id like to, price mainly but I am always getting them from carboots or charity shops or library sales. I am completely going against my generation :rotfl:but I can live with that:D
RE kindle I would consider it as a good back up, such as travelling etc, but can I really justify spending that much as a back up........still a lot to consider:cool:

Big hus miss_t - sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down atm, the middle of the month (esp Jan) seems to be hard for a lot of people. Try and focus on the positive like you are doing, you're going to be in a fab position in a couple of months - well done you :T
Well I can declare NSD # 6 which is 1/2 way to target 1/2 way through the month :j I took two of the coats back to FatFace today (the original one I purchased and one of the down ones, which was the one I bought twice as they reduced it further) I am keeping a down one after the test drive yesterday plus one of the parkas which OH really likes, but these were the two cheapest out of the purchases - do feel ever so slightly guilty about buying two coats but hey ho. The only downside is that doing the maths it's £30 out of my CCC for the year.
I did resist buying anything from Jack Wills though when I popped in there too :AFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Seriously pleased now with 13 NSDs so far this month and going strong.
We've been out for quite a bit of the day at an event with a cafe but we went properly prepared with drinks (hot and cold), snacks as well as sensible food for packed lunches.
We left earlier than we needed to as well so that I could drive a bit more slowly, go the shorter (in miles) but longer (in time) route and try to save as much fuel as I could. I think that, because I did this, I might manage to do the drives I have to do on Monday and Tuesday without having to go to the garage to buy more fuel. It will be a close run thing though. I really want to hang out for Wednesday as being my next spend day. This is getting compulsive!:rotfl:
