2 more please. The disasterous start to 2012 continues. I had hoped to be more organised with the NSDs and other things but I am happy that I have managed to grab some so far! In bed with a horrible cough, sneezes, sore throat, headache, bunged up nose and general aches from top to toe :(. Is this flu? I'm keeping the fluids topped up but really cant eat

Oh Igamogam, I hope you feel better soon. Keep drinking lots of warm, honey and lemon type stuff and maybe try some soup later. Stay warm and cozy and if you can possibly manage it (try very hard) eat lots of chocolate :)

  • Today's going to be a spendy day - need to collect and pay for DS' birthday pressie, book the footie pitch for his non-party (he'll be 14 so doesn't want a party, just a kick around with his mates followed by food somewhere!) and get some groceries in. Still, quite happy with progress this far, even startign to think I might exceed my target...

    :hello: bonjour tout le monde!

Right, well, Friday is NSD number 7, yesterday wasn't, spent about £10 on bits and bobs in town... mooched about in WH Sm1ths but objected to paying over £5 for a pretty bog standard diary, and £8 minimum for anything with a pattern on! I'd rather go to p@perchase and get something really pretty for that money! To be fair, with the snazzy phone and sync-ed calendar on the laptop I shouldn't really need a paper diary, but I find I need the back up!! :rotfl:

On the kindle discussion, my main gripe with them is it makes it impossible to lend or borrow books... I can see they would be very useful, but I love sharing books with my friends!

Not been to bed or up super early???

You should know staying in bed with the covers over your head is the best way to get a NSD?????? - blast, now I've given away my secret :)
    *pulls cover back over head*

Up super early and couldn't get back to sleep. In fairness, I didn't get out of bed to post....and I'm still in pjs...:D
  • I should get #10 today.:)
  • I am very proud to report NSD #8 for yesterday and NSD #9 for today as I'm staying in, having a roast dinner, reading my book (I'm in the non-Kindle group) and doing some job applications. Can't see me having the time or the inclination to spend today!

I have decided that I am going to pay the extra tenner off on my dotty p card tomorrow (a risky move as I'll be going into the shop!) as I have checked my finances and I seem to have enough for emergencies anyway, and if I keep it "in case" there is a chance I might deem something an emergency unnecessarily iyswim.

Have a good day all, and I hope those feeling unwell or a bit down feel better soon!

Wow Spoon, that was a magnificent update. I honestly don't know how you do it, especially at that time in the morning.:A :T
You're right about the pups, they are worth every penny spent on them. :smileyhea I'm not so sure about all the missed nsd's though. :p:D

Might get one today, remembered last night we need a new smoke alarm so will probably nip to A*gos tomorrow. They have a pack of 2 for £10.

Many hugs to all who need them.:grouphug:
