Wow!
Thanks so much for the feedback re Kindles! Lots of sound advice and honest pros and cons - would I expect anything less from my fellow NSD'ers!:T:T
I like the idea of discovering new authors, but feel a bit wobbly about giving up library and bookshops. However, I felt that way when I changed from CDs to IP0D, and now I dont miss tons of CD's hanging around the place at all!
I think I am going to go for it, eventually.;)
Have spent the last few hours decluttering shoes, boots and handbags and they are going on fleabay this afternoon. Any money I make will start the Kindle fund.
Went to C0$tco this morning, bought a tray of chops and 4 new pillows - strange combo but both necessary!:rotfl:

Evening everyone.
Big spendy day for me today. I had to fuel the car and get the groceries in. I'd gotten the cash out to pay for the shopping yesterday but the fuel I'd forgotten about. I made sure I did all of my required spending today in the hope of getting back into the nsd habit tomorrow. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy pottering around charity shops and bargain hunting, but thankfully I don't have much time to do that these days.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Hello everyone!
I've got no plans for tonight, so I'm going to declare early and declare today as NSD number 13! :jLittleMissHappy wrote: »Thanks so much for thisYou have no idea how useful this will be for me!!!! (actually you prob do given that you have had the same problem!):T:j:beer:
You're welcome LMH! However, wannabe makes a very good point ...wannabehermit wrote: »LMH don't forget if you have remote locking on your car it won't work with the battery disconnected, so if you have a key hole in the door you'll have to use that (unless you've got a Ford of course and have to use the key to get under the bonnet).
On the subject of Kindles - I like the sound of them ... once I've got through all the unread books on my bookshelves I might just save up for one ... by which time I should be debt free, so should be able to afford one! :rotfl:
Have a good weekend everyone!:money: Proud to [STRIKE]be dealing with[/STRIKE] have dealt with my debts! :money:

I think I must just be reverting to 90s technophone status! I ditched my ipod as well and went out and bought a CD player and have started rebuilding my CD collection. I miss my CD collection, I like having shelves full of books, CDs, blu-rays etc. So it's not just Kindles that I go against the grain with, but hey, I like to be different!Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0 -
Thanks to wannbehermit for the reminding me about the remote locking! I do have keyholes so it shouldn't be a problem however I would imagine that I would have spent quite some time panicking that I couldn't unlock my car until I calmed down and twigged I could *actually use the manual key* Gasp! It's a bit like having to get up and switch the tv off isn't ? Just not the done thing
hee hee hee
On the subject of kindles, I absolutely adore mineThey are perfect for going out and about, holidays etc but in a bath nothing will ever beat a good old fashioned book!
NSD 6 for me pleaseSpent the entire day eating like a horse and studying
