Best win so far - holiday to Florida0 -
I sheepishly went into an M&S cafe yesterday (old habits die hard I'm afraid) but when I got my loyalty card out I realised I had already qualified for a free drink :j. I took it as some sort of near miss and decided to put the money towards an extra payment. Unfortunately I now can't remember how much a pot of tea for one costs (never used to check prices before and it's one of those skills I'm still learning) so I'm putting £2 towards this weeks extra payment.0

PrincessPoor - same as me. I was in Boots this morning, and suddenly realised that I faithfully hand over my card for points, but never actually spend them. I used £11.88 worth of points, and still have more than left
:T
So that's £11.88 this wee - so pleased

I'd like to join this thread please. I've tried some of the making money every day thread and didn't do well. But this one sounds like it might be a good one to try instead as the money made/saved could go directly to CC company rather than an abstract pot."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Welcome Aldahbra. I'm still quite new to all this myself (more used to spending!!) but I'm learning fast and getting into the swing of it. I went into town today and there was free parking. I was expecting to pay £2.40 so that can go towards this weeks extra payment.0

:oMorning Peeps,
Just reading through again I loooove this place...:A
I cant believe what I have achieved so far this year. Seriously it wouldnt have happened without your stories.
Sons GF nearly there, to be honest I think I more excited about this than her as she has not dealt with it fully... I so cant wait. Has anyone any suggestions how to get an other interested?
I suppose with this is you have to be in the pickle in the first place (or at least interested in getting out of it!!)
Hey ho - it has helped me anyway and OH sick of me talking about it - in a nice way though coz he now interested as got smacked with 10k VAT & old tax man bill.....
Have done some CC tarting to 0% and have a lovely tidy file and is all organised:o ready to reduce.
I have found great please being an old biddie and a bit of a techno phobe with the net .... I love the internet banking...This really does make a difference in here about moving money about in real time and seeing things happen.
Have even found it easy to do same with savings accounts. Not got megga loads dont get me wrong but skimming that way as well... saves having to dip onto CC's.
Getting really clever have put the GC's Building Society accounts into this field and make small transfers then update the book when I want, otherwise all good intentions dont happen and it saves on fuel:rotfl:

Hi All and welcome to our new budgeteers
Unfortunately I haven't managed anything for a few weeks nor will I for another couple.. we went away for a weekend, £9.50 Sun holiday and spent a small fortune!
Very overdrawn at the moment. It will clear when I'm paid but I've done my 6 months forward spreadsheet and it's not looking rosy.
I'm thinking for now I might be able to empty the change in my purse and pop it into a pot rather than making a trip to the bank with pennies.
I've made a claim for PPI but it's an old cc with Egg that has been closed a long time and I don't have any paperwork. At least that's only cost me £1.55 to send it recorded. If you don't try you don't know.
Have a fun weekend in the rain everyone.
Oh yes... meant to say, PRINCESSPOOR - register with Groupon and your local area, we sometimes get deals for hair dressers, salons etc.
