Hi everyone. Weekly bank skim plus payment of job done in May, so able to donate £64.80 to the fund this week. Keep going Naomim, hope it's just a temporary hiccup and you'll be back on track again soon.
Have a good weekend, fingers crossed for some better weather soon!!

  • In July 2011 I finally made up my mind that my overdrafts had to go. So I set up a spreadsheet and had an end date of Oct 2013 for one and July 2013 for the second one.

I was inspired by this thread (and the payment a day thread) to try putting the odd extra amounts towards these overdrafts.

    Wow - does it work!

Due to moving any extra I could from 1p to £100 I paid off my first overdraft on the 30th June 2012 and shall pay off my second one on 31st July 2012.

I just wish to say thank you so very, very much for your inspiration - I am overdraft free for the first time in so long I cannot remember.

Keep up with the payments it really does work:)

Ayup chuck, thanks for that. I missed it on the weekend but yesterday i printed off a tracker of sorts and I am going to list 5 things a week. I am already gauranteed to sell one item so thats a good start. For the record I HATE ebaying so its a big step for me :T
Wonder if that would make a good challenge thread? hmmm

  • I have been ignoring my overdraft for ages, but today decided to add it to my loan and to keep the term of the loan the same! So my additional payments may reduce a bit, but at least i am being honest with myself about how much i owe!
If i am really careful i think i will be able to clear the full amount by xmas 2013...but one step at a time! I intend on concentrating on the little credit card and then the loan as they both have interest whereas i have 20 months interest free on the big credit card, so will stick with just minimum with him for a while.

Thanks everyone for keeping me motivated, looking at your signatures makes me think that this may actually be possible!

I've only just stumbled on this challenge and though there are only about 25 weeks left of 2012 I'm going to give it a go! Better to have something extra off than nothing at all.
