The 'extra payment every week' challenge

Hi Fantastiyk,
Thank you for your kind words. I do have internet banking - best thing I ever did as it makes you look at your account rather than guessing. I have a spreadsheet which starts with my pay, then I list all the direct debits, standing orders, other regular payments etc and this leaves me with an amount that I actually have to spend. There is then no worry about having to remember when payments are due. Everytime there was any spare pennies (and it was often just 1p) I did an extra payment to overdraft. I also check my online banking almost everyday just to make sure that everything is going okay and there are no nasty surprises. Some of the little things I did was when the interest lowered because the overdraft was less, based on the highest amount, I paid the different to the overdraft.
Hope this helps, keep at it - I found it seemed very slow at times but it really does make a difference0 -
Morning, well a bit of ying to my yang is my electricity bill has come in less than i predicted (makes all the shouting 'will you turn that blumming light/charger/tv off' worth it) so as I have my money for this and my car tax (due end of this month) on a post office budget card it means that by adding £21.53 I can buy 12 months tax instead of 6, yipee.
And why am i boring you with this you say, well do you think the amount im adding counts as an overpayment? Or maybe the difference between the 6 months and the 12 is, im pushing it aren't I lol.

Oh dear, this weekend I took my Boyfriend out for dinner, so spent extra money on my credit card! I am feeling a bit like I am never going to be debt free, and that is not a nice thought!
I have a night out on Friday and then one on Saturday this week, so all I can think of is that is more money!
Once this weekend is out of the way, i should not have any more unexpected outgoings, so hopefully will be able to get back on track. I would just love to see a chunk of my debts gone, so I feel a little less trapped with them!
Sorry for the depressing monday post, but I felt like I needed to vent!:oSaving for 2015 Wedding, aiming for £3000 by December 2014.

I see no reason why the £21.53 can't be an over payment!! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

thanks plmbl, sod it i've added it.
right I have a sort of new focus, I have to find my last car payment for Feb so its time to get a move on and every extra penny from now on is purely for that. Starting next month (as I have to pay the excess on my insurance)
I have been ruthless today and cancelled the sky! a months notice then onto tesco broadband only, a £40 pm saving which will go straight towards the car payment and will be included as an overpayment on here.Littlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42

Hi all
I'm a wee bit late as well but I would like to join. I also would love a payment a day but I know I couldn't keep track that well, so an extra payment a week sounds perfect.
I know this week I'm really really skint but I'm goiing to join anyway:D
