More, but sort of necessary but unplanned spends I couldn't avoid really!

    £8.65 - another printer ink
    £1.99 - birthday cards

Anything I do buy in future will be much more considered.. I'm currently decluttering and ebaying and it's hell, puts me off shopping!!

    Hi everybody,

I'm still following the thread and still doing the challenge, and am happy to report that I haven't had any unnecessary spends during February.

I've eaten out a couple of times, but I don't consider those unnecessary as it's quality time with family, and just so long as we keep it to 4 or less per month then I'm happy. Anymore than 4 and I'll be declaring it for the Wall Of Shame.

Today I had a really good nosey around the charity shop and got my shopping fix in there, I purchased a Mother's Day card, a Birthday card for my Dad and a card that will be suitable for Dad for Father's Day (it's blank inside so I can personalise it). I also bought an unopened bar of Apple Glycerin soap, total spend $1.75 = 1.09 GBpounds. So I got my fix, and everything purchased has a specific use.

Earlier this month I also bought from the charity shop 2 rolls of aluminium foil (50' x 18") or (15.2m x 45.7m) the packaging was damaged but the foil inside is fine, and an unopened bar of Pears soap, total spend $1.25 = .78p

I love the charity shop here, they sell just about everything that people donate, and as the saying goes "One man's junk is another man's treasure", got to admit though, I did do a double take at a box of contraceptive foam that was on the shelf. That was a bit of an  moment. :rotfl:

Well bring on March, I'm ready.
  • Morning Kerfuffle, you were up early!

I have some spends to declare too. We purchased:
*a freeview recorder box set as our was broken
    *a set of scales
But sold our wii to raise the cash so it was cash neutral

    * a digital camera (for my dd for xmas. Got it off of the grabbit board deal £35 reduced from £75. That will be her present from me so a real saving over all)]

    * a bottle of Suddenly Glamour from Lidl. Have been reading a lot of reviews on it and it does smell just like Coco Mademoiselle for £3.99 (have been having a bit of a rough time and wanted a pick me up

    That's all!
    DF as at 30/12/16

    NSD March: YTD: 35
Grocery spend challenge March £253.38/£285 £20/£70 Eating out

Now is my morning, and in a mo I'm going to have some brekkie.

Great buy with the digital camera, brilliant price and so organised too, well done.

I have been doing very well.

Spent the last of five pounds of my February tenner in the Charity shop the other week.

    Haven't touched Marches yet.

I did just spend silly money on a walking helium balloon for the girlie as she just got two A's in her resists so now has four A's! (AS Level)

I've done well though it's getting easier as I have no money still! It will be a much harder challenge if/when I get a job and have more money coming in.

    Unplanned spends:

    1. I did buy a map for £9.64 - but I'm walking mostly and not using the car so semi essential

    2. Another 2 bunches of daffs - just to cheer myself up £2

    3. No excuse for the Ebay daily deal Joe Brown's pack of 3 vests for £6.95... BUT no real cost on those as I had cash in my paypal account from Ebay but I could have used that money for something more essential

I did top up my Oyster £10 and got waxed £55 but um they are budgeted for..

Ooh forgot I did buy a few credits on ancestry and managed to discover my Grandfather's birth place in Sweden which was a bit of a muddle - he died when my mum was four - and also my great Aunts and uncles and great grandparents there.

I am very proud of my dectective skills!

It's fascinating though isn't it! I've found out all sorts of things my parents didn't even know.
