Well done everyone - it's given me the kick I needed! I'm impressed too, it's great to be helped and encouraged by such a wonderful group of people. :T

I check the scales tomorrow. Feeling quite scared :o I haven't been exercising as much as I should have..

My family is NOT helping. Yesterday my wonderful brother brought home a dozen Krispy Kremes. A dozen. Of those addictive little discs of pure naughtiness! Thankfully, I resisted. And today my dad walked in with apple and raspberry muffins. Filled with fresh cream. I've resisted so far.. They're currently sitting in the fridge and that's where they shall stay until someone else gobbles them. I hope it's soon so I don't have to see them!

Brunch: bruschetta-style toast (1 piece) with tomato sauce and mince, with a glass of milk. May sound but it was delicious :D
Dinner: chicken and potato curry with plain rice. Added chick peas to the rice.
    Snacks: pear, banana, one pakora
    Exercise: walked 6.5 miles :j

Well done everyone on today's losses and STS!

I popped in to see my grandparents today and unfortunately got FED...so I had a tinned salmon sandwich, a packet of crisps , three () rich tea biscuits AND a slice of bread and jam to taste their next door neighbour's homemade plum jam!:eek: oops :o

Aww, that sounds so nice! Years since I had a tinned salmon sandwich :)

Well done on all the losses.,

Sparrer bootcamp is the only way I can manage to keep off the bulk of the fat and still manage to eat reasonably well! I fall off the bed, into the first gym clothes I can find, dirty hoodie, grab the mat from the corridor and drag myself there on the bus (10 mins). Most days I don't even wash face/clean teeth until afterwards! But always eat some breakfast otherwise I'd faint on the field!

    Amendment to today's food:

Tempted by hm sourdough white bread, had 2 large slices, with butter. Hope I haven't undone all the good work!
Dinner was Indian takeaway to celebrate DS passing his driving test.

Tomorrow back on straight and narrow(ish) I hope.

    Good night!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • Right! New MSE forumite subscribing to this thread! Making over my life with debts to pay off, and weight to lose (which I'll add to my sig in a mo). Also applying for teacher training very soon, so career development beckons as well! Would love to have lost a few lbs by the time interviews roll around, helping me feel my best....

Will have a read through this thread and be having a good clear out of my cupboards and a supermarket shop tomorrow - well, making use of storecupboard to be MoneySaving, but I have a meal plan ready to go with lots of healthy dishes on it.

I have a lot of weight to lose, done every diet in the book, and just need to cut the crap and do some exercise!

Look forward to reading about everyone's achievements x

Welcome sparklychar. Good for you having a meal plan, rather than diet - hate that word :)

CCP I know what you'e saying, sometimes menu's look mean. And sometimes I feel bloated from eating so much! Confuzzled .com
    JackieO :T
[A] 10/10 for resisting. I don't have a sweet tooth but the muffins might just tip me over the edge :o
KW thank you for the list. Didn't we do well :D
Frith it's best if you don't stick to a strict eating plan, if you don't have a few small treats now and then (I have a day off on Sundays as I eat out) you'd quite likely fall at the first fence. A little of what you fancy :)
Caterina well done you! And well done your DS for passing
daisiegg like kraftykat I haven't had tinned salmon for longer than I care to remember, it used to be a staple for a weekend tea with white bread, butter and cucumber, or a salad if we had visitors :D

Thought of something earlier, when I'm driving I eat polo mints. I can go through a packet on the round trip to DM, approx 180 miles, and two or three on even a short journey to the shops. And I say I don't have a sweet tooth! I never have them in the house, only the car, but truth is I use them in place of road rage, when another, usually, M, driver follows too close, doesn't indicate, cuts me up etc., I crunch on a mint. It makes me feel better, anyway :p

    Sweet dreams :)

    S. nuts and almonds

    Have a good weekend!

  • Well done to all the losers, unfortunately I have STS this week although I’m sure I have lost centimetres – trousers aren’t so tight so all this decorating exercise must be helping in some way.

Still happily ticking things off my list – changed my plans yesterday and decided to go and get more paint to finish what I started on the landing – so now all doors/frames and skirtings - DONE. Will be giving my knees a rest today and concentrate on stretching upwards – in other words, sugarsoap at the ready next on my list is stair, hallway, lounge ceiling & walls to be washed down ready for painting.

Yesterdays meals not very exciting – I’m still in use up freezer/store cupboard stuff mode
    B – Boiled egg, oatcake
    L – Tuna sandwich, pear
D – very orange but tasty Hash = layer of sweet potato, layer of baked beans, layer of sweet potato, layer of corned beef, topped with layer of sweet potato, baked in oven for about 20mins, served with green beans & Brussels sprouts.

    Morning all :)

I'm pleased to report a 1.6 lb loss this week. I haven't been exercising as much as I should have been but it looks like the food choices have paid off :) onwards and upwards.. I hope to get back onto wagon now.

Thank you :) Well, the meal plan is for the MoneySaving as much as anything else! And doesn't mean I always stick to it ;) but good to know there is definitely enough food in for main meals.

Could you have tic tacs instead of polos? Less cals? Don't have sugar free polos, horrible horrible and full of xylitol.

Started the day with 1/2 tin of beans and 1 scrambled egg on toast with tea and skimmed milk. Need to have an active day of cleaning, supermarket and possibly walking into town (about 2 miles each way), so hopefully this will keep me going!

Just read about 10 pages of this lovely thread too, good that there's plenty to read to keep my motivation going hahahaha!

    Have a good day xx
