Add to today's intake half a bottle of energy drink, not so much because I wanted it (which I didn't, particularly, not being much of a fan of soft drinks) as because I felt I needed it to get through the afternoon without dozing off. It may just be the placebo effect but I do actually feel marginally more alert having drunk it!
OG - those prices! £20 for a tank-full of petrol! :eek:Back after a very long break!0 -
Hello all
I had a packet of crisps today, breaking my ban. but that's OK, 1 packet in 3 days is better than 1 packet EVERYday.
Had a bagel for breakfast, peach and nectarine for snack (In morrisons they are both £1 per punnet, and BOGOF too. There are 3 in a punnet, so basically 6 for £1 which i think is a good deal).
Lunch was less of a success...in fact, i didnt have any lunch today..oops! I always try to make sure that i dont skip meals as i know it leads to binge eating later in the day, but i went straight from work to aldi, food shopping, and have only just got home.
I am going to have a slice of toast in a minute though, and then make sure i have a slightly bigger portion of dinner (beef stir-fry) later.0 -
Not doing too bad this week.
B: cereal,banana
L : veggie curry and rice, Yoghurt
D; will be HM curried parsnip and apple soup and a small ham salad
Made 3 litres of HM soup this morning it will keep me going until the weekend at least and used up the parsnips and a few wrinkly apples so cost very little0 -
Not feeling particularly upbeat today, the change in weather signals several months of trying to keep warm to fend off ci's, anti-b's and steroids. I so want to live in a warm country!
B - F&F, ss milk, ff Greek yogurt
L - hm chicken & leek soup, toasted cheese sandwich
D - tuna steak, brocolli, broad beans, 1/2 teasp tartatre sauce mixed with 1/2 teasp ff Greek yogurt, keeps the cal's down and tastes nice and mild.(I mix yogurt with most things as I'm sure you've noticed, it's so versatile)
S - grapes, melon, nectarine, carrot batons
E - 1 1/4 hours exercising at pulm class, not been for a while and had forgotten how much fun we have. Trouble is we've all got the same disease so all the laughing ends up as coughing!
Have a good rest of the day0 -
Not so strict today as other days.
Porridge, raspberries and banana.
Chicken and avocado sandwich.
Stir fry (Sainsburys basics bag of stir fry veg, chicken left over from roast).
Square of bread pudding made by my mum. Full of dried fruit.0 -
Hi Folks
Finally managed to catch up on everybody’s posts, been a bit busy de-cluttering, moving furniture and painting for the past few days – so quite a few things getting ticked off my mahoosive “To Do” List.
I have rarely used lists at home but have to say I’ve got this smug feeling inside ticking things off and rather than depressing me at the amount that still needs to be done it is keeping me motivated – today it was the stair landing getting the treatment = bathroom door painted inside and out, skirtings done, doorframes of bedroom doors done, but I’m beginning to run out of paint so will leave the doors until I get more.
Gas engineer arrived early afternoon to disconnect and remove a defunct old gas fire, so I may start washing down the living room ceiling and walls tomorrow then go and stock up on more paint to keep me going over the weekend.
Meals today were designed to be easy =
B – Porridge, drizzled with honey
L – Tuna sandwich, pear.
D – Pasta bake, carrots & brussels sprouts
A bit telly then will be having an early night - feeling shattered but somehow slimmer – fingers crossed for a loss tomorrow that is if I can find the scales amongst all the clutter in the spare roomJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £16.930 -
Another ok day...
B - instant raspberry porridge,tea
L - tea, 2 rice cakes with jam
D - baked potato, sweetcorn, tuna
Hmm, not got my five a day today! Lunch was silly but I felt really unwell again and just needed to take to my bed, so ate something small to take a painkiller with.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE WITH THE WEIGH IN!0 -

Anyway, you get better soon....
Thank you officeguru...still hobbling about, couldn't get out for a walk today, and the weather was lovely!...unfortunately can't get an appointment with the osteopath until next week.
I know I shouldn't be encouraging you, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one who broke into the chocolate :rotfl:
I thought I had the willpower to put my bar in the freezer until Christmas...well it seems not, it went straight from the shopping bag to my mouth.
There's no point utilising the top of my wardrobe because I can reach it...the only foolproof way is not to buy it in the first place.
My meals have been good today, but I fear it's too little too late!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Adding to my food diary a mug of herbal tea with a spoonful of honey...not ideal but better than hot chocolate!0

Ohh the cold weather is raising its head! The wind was bitter today. I am already missing the last few days of warmth.
Food wise:
B. fried egg on homemade sourdough bread, small bit rhubarb crumble with tsp crème fraiche
L. red lentil and spinach soup with small amount soup pasta, yogurt with fig and tbsp. hemp seeds
S. a few bits of samples in M&S including 2 chocolate and bits of cookies (oooppppps could not resist). Almonds and nuts
D. macaroni cheese with broccoli and mushrooms, 1 apple.
I am eating normal amounts, not excessive but not depriving myself, I am trying to eat intuitively as suggested, I hope it is going to have a positive effect on my weight. I certainly feel more serene and less weight-obsessed. See how it goes tomorrow when I go on the scales! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
