Dinner will be carbonara with garlic bread. Not the most low fat/cal meal, i know, but i am approaching this weight loss as a long term thing and as long as i keep the snacks under control i am sure it'll come off
I think this is a great idea and I'm following the same principles myself
Tried out my new cross trainer today, can't believe how unfit I am

daisiegg just wanted to add I was 32 when dd was born and 35 with ds and classed as obese then (possibly morbidly) with dd it took a good 3 months for my periods to settle in and I had been taking the pill for 14 years solid up to dd. be patient, it will happen, lots of overweight women have babies, with dd my pregnancy wa a breeze, while my skinny ultra healthy friend was retching every morning I had not 1 day of sickness, we are all different, you will be fine xxx'You have brains in your head. Can we go back to the old challenge please? I was doing much better on that one
Knit Witch, you'll need your biggest pointy needle for me, I've been so stupid today! My meals have been good, but right now I'm eating my way through a large bar of chocolate ...after 3 months without any, I gave in
I have spent over a year trying to reduce the pain and get some fitness back after a back problem flared up, and was finally able to do short walks again. Today the problem is back, I'm struggling to do things, and I'm having a major panic that I'm going to spend a second winter unable to do anything and stuck in the house...I want to be fit and lose weight *so much* and it's really difficult when you're stuck in a chair.
Well, I don't have to tell you all that, I know some of you are well aware!
And of course eating chocolate will help, won't it!!!
I promise not to buy any more

Well.. Dinner went as planned. However, I was feeling quite faint at around 4 PM so I had a cereal bar and one breadstick with a cheesy dip. It perked me up.
I'll be pleased with a STS this week, doesn't feel like I've done well at allOS Weight Loss Challenge... 3.5/100 -
Had a good day today, for once!
Made a big pan of broth from bendy veggies and a few rashers of bacon (only the lean bits) which had been lurking in the freezer for too longSo I had some for lunch while DH had a bacon sandwich - which he didn't really enjoy. Sometimes I think the thought of something is nicer than the actual thing IYSWIM.
Got all the ironing done before I had to make dinner, which was a minced beef shortcrust pastry plate pie from M&S - cut into 4, some mashed potatoes and peas and gravy.
Out tonight to a charity concert - really, really good. DD sings in a local choral group, and I went with my parents to hear them. Fantastic :T
Daisiegg - try not to get stressed, eat as healthily as you can and let nature take its course. It will happen when the time is right2025 Fashion on the ration

Hi all
It is the weekend of bad eating/lots of drinking for me! First beer festival tonight, second is tomorrow and then out with a friend on Saturday! Very rare and I'm not going to lie, I can't wait!
I have got the day off tomorrow though, so my intention is to take the dog for a nice 6 mile walk and then do some Just Dance on the Wii Fit so although it won't get rid of all the calories I consume, instead of just writing off the days I am doing something about it - something I have never done before
Saying that, weigh in is tomorrow so will be happy to STS.. fingers crossed! xDebt Free by 2015: £5839.01/£13000 1% challenge = 44.91%CAMRA Member: Drinking Ale doesn't make me any less of a woman :beer:0 -
My meal planning has gone out of the window at the moment - I'm fighting off a cold bug which, while not making me feel particularly unwell, is leaving me feeling so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open, let alone cook a proper meal when I get home. Last night's dinner was a bacon and tomato sandwich, a bunch of grapes and another blueberry muffin - not exactly weight-loss food!
I think I might buy a LC 'ping' meal for tonight, so at least I'll get a proper meal once this week, although buying such things goes completely against the grain for me!
On the positive side, the scales this morning show I'm having a heavy day - one of those when I suddenly gain a pound or more overnight - but my 'heavy' weight is still less than my 'normal' weight was a few months ago, which has got to be good.
B - yoghurt and a blueberry muffin(I've got one more and the they're gone, and I won't be buying any more!)
L - soup, two slices of seedy bread, mini pack of cheesy biscuits, apple
D - 'ping' meal of some description TBC
sachatith - have a fantastic weekend, although I'm sure you don't need telling!Back after a very long break!0 -

Hi Ellie
Sorry to hear that you are under the weather.. :hello: I don't have that excuse... I just managed to eat my way through a load of junk this week... Yes I know that I don't buy anything in... but, guess what ??? I went and bought the 2 tins of roses and celebrations for Christmas and, yessssss.... I opened one of them... yessssss I started dipping into it...so yessssss the tins are now on top of the wardrobe !!! Not before I ate myself through the bounty bars and a few other variations !!!! so guess who is dreading the weigh-in this weekend ...:(:(:(
Anyway, on a happier note, I found an old box in the attic and it had a load of cheque stubs in it so here are a few of the bills I paid then:
1987:
Bar lunch for 4 of us in posh hotel: £16.50
Year's household insurance (contents & buildings) £24
Fortnight's supermarket shopping (for family) £43
Petrol fill for 2 litre car £20.95.. My smaller car £12.06
Tyres (he always bought the best - usually in pairs) £37.12
Money for self (for work) £10 obviously for coffee etc)
2 bags of coal - 10.00 (last week i paid £160 for 8 bags)
Electricity bill (3 months) £26.23
Quarterly Gas Bill (summer time) 12.80
Just thought it was interesting... Wages were obviously a lot smaller then but I think I had more money to save then.. But we didn't buy as many 'things' then for kids etc... They would have had to wait until Christmas time...
Anyway, you get better soon....0
