Good evening
Not too bad today,
Have had. The usual 2 x wm, seeded toast with rf lurpak, marmite and I added a couple of slices of ham to up the protein to stop me knowing at my desk leg by 10.30 :rotfl: I think it works a bit. I also make sure I buy the highest fibre bread I can find. 4g in each slice.
Lunch was LO Seafood gratin with raw cauliI know, but I really like it. And a small bowl of Hm chick sweetcorn soup.
Not sure about dinner, have just bought a load of veg, so something with them.
I also had a tiny raspberry ruffle bar which was a blast from the past and far sweeter than I remember. Am going to join the gym near my neg workplace tomorrow
Enjoy your evening.- prior planning prevents poor performance!

hiya all
I am lurking away and trying to make better choices with my food.
On that note, I was listening to Chris Evens this morning and he was declaring October Fit Fest and "said" he is giving up bread, chocolate, cheese and alcohol for October in preparation for the festive season
It chimed with what I want to do so I am going to try to join in!
There is one day in October when I know it will b nigh on impossible but then my Dad will only turn 70 once!
I wonder how I'll get on!0 -

Maybe so KW, but you're the one who actually DOES it! :TWantToBeSE wrote: »Good afternoon All
I have been into the city to get some new clothes.
DISASTER! Everything just looked hideous on me, and i am STILL a size 14!
It amazes me just how many clothes look awful when you try them on...surely we're not all weird shapes? I hate clothes shopping for just that reason!I was on exactly the same - meant to be on 1200 but found I was quite hungry a lot of the time but 1400 is exactly right - and most days I am slightly under which is motivational! Glad I'm not the only one
(because of course, when you dance on your own, you are literally the best and sexiest dancer in the world!) :rotfl:
I try to stick to 1200, with a bit more if I go walking...I don't lose anything if I go up to 1400 ...it doesn't give much leeway for any little extras
No, when I dance on my own I'm still rubbish..what's the female equivalent of "dad dancing" ? :rotfl:)

I'd be interested how you'd all deal with this situation.
Like I said earlier, I aim for 1200 calories, plus extra if I walk. It's not easy to stick to, but I can manage if I'm at home and feeding myself, I slip up if I eat away from home.
My DM has always tried to give me cakes and biscuits, I've been telling her for months I'm dieting and usually refusing.
Today I made myself go out for a walk so that I had enough calories for my evening meal, I didn't even eat one of the cakes I'd made in the morning.
When I got home my DM had been in the house and left an apple sponge for me.
Now, I was brought up not to waste food (and I don't, I don't serve too much in the first place) so I can't just get rid of it.
I really like it! but I know it will ruin my efforts for today...and I don't want to hurt her feelings.
When I see her tomorrow, I'll tell her again I'm not eating those sorts of things, and I know what she'll say "oh, a couple of portions won't hurt you"...she just doesn't understand how tight the calories are. I can refuse when she offers things in her house, but what do I do when she bakes for me and brings it round?
Would you eat it, or would you put your diet first?

Can you freeze it and say you will have it as a treat later?Must use my stash up!0

Am feeling a little under the weather today, not sure I have caught whatever dd had yesterday, was so cold at work the ends of all my fingers went numb, when I looked at the nails they had a blueish hue. Then in the afternoon was boiling, could have stripped down to my altogether but might have frightened the customer:rotfl:
So am sitting here with some grapes and 2 dressing gowns on.
B. 2x wml toast, banana
L. Roast beef and salad sandwich, lf crisp, tinny orange and half an apple
D. Jacket pot and some grated cheeses
Now grapes and big cup of tea...bliss
Also like to thank KW for all her help and support, and keeping track of our eratic weigh ins:T:T'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

I too would freeze it perhaps in portions so I could maybe have a slice a week as a treat.I have a weekly 'sin' of a potful of fresh coffee with my eldest DD on a Sunday morning and we always have 'elmlea low fat single cream with it. I would normally drink it black during the week ,we have tried it with skimmed milk but its just not as nice .So out comes the single cream on Sunday morning for us both. One treat a week isn't going to put lbs back on and if it is a treat then its worth looking forward to as a treat and not a 'Oh God I've fallen off the wagon ' moment.
Yestday was fine and I stuck to my plan with cereal and banana for breakfast (it really does fill me up until lunchtim)
Then crispbread and fruit for lunch
Last night was quiz night at the pub so dinner was there and we had a plate of tomato pasta bake which was really nice along with my normal soda water and lime.
Today is Diet nurse day so it will be interesting to see what I weigh in at after a fortnight.
She is such a nice woman and very supportive.I get to see her once a fortnight and it costs me nothing which is also a bonus. Our surgery has a great interest in helping folk who want to live a healthier life style. After all the fitter you are the less likely you are to need a doctor.
Its 11 weeks today before I go back to see my consultant about my breast reconstruction and I am hoping he will be pleased at my progress.I have to lose this weight to have my op. as at the moment I am too heavy to survive the aenesthetic. !!! A wake-up call for anyone I think.
So its going to come off and already I am feeling a lot better and less of the 'bloated' feeling I used to have when eating bread.I can't say I have missed it at all or the biscuits or cakes .I do miss a really strong cheese though .I still have some but its carefully weighed out and grated for a salad.I am a real cheese nut and could at one time happily eat a chunk or two as a snack. Its not until you realise how much fat and calories are in what I would normally have had as a snack that I realised how bad it was to eat like that .Even after my Op. I don't think I will go back to eating as I used to.I have got used to eating three meals a day now and nothing but perhaps a piece of fruit inbetween.
So its Hi ho Hi ho its off to see the nurse I go this morning:):) fingers crossed chums
