Ahem...what was I saying this morning about not eating chocolate?
I've just opened an ebay delivery (moisturizer) and the seller has very kindly put in a packet of maltesers as an extra...I thought I was safe by keeping away from the sweets aisle in the supermarket :rotfl:

Pretty sure I will eat them, the only decision is when...

Hugs to daisiegg :grouphug:...I imagine the people causing all this stress probably have no idea of how it's affecting you, which makes it even worse.
I'm baking cakes for a friends birthday today, I wish I could send you one :)

    White rabbits :)

    (((Hugs))) daisiegg x
Agree with JackieO, bread is not good, causes bloating and makes me feel very uncomfortable. Having said which I did make some for my visitor, have half a wm loaf left and not going to (can't afford to) waste it so it will be used sparingly for toast til it's gone then back to crackerbreads

Weighed myself this morning and soooo wish I hadn't
KW I'm sorry to mess you about but can you increase my target to 7lb, please? Says it all! But I did love having one of my very best friends to stay, and being able to spoil her (and me :o)

    B - F&F, ff yogurt
L - dry fried egg on hm toast
D - tuna steak with hm dressing of 1 teasp lemon juice, 1 teasp olive oil, 1/2 teasp white vinegar, good twist black pepper (shaken not stirred). Lots of salad
    S - melon, 1/2 banana
E - 4x10 mins planned, bulb/bedding planting, mow the lawn if it stays dry

    Happy 1st October :)

Is it too late to join in please :)

I had a bit of a wake up call after finding my BP was way too high so I'm hoping losing weight will save me from having to take meds and my goal is to reach target by Aug next year as we have a family wedding. I started 4 weeks ago and lost just over a stone so far by just eating healthily and no snacking.

If it's ok to join the challenge I would like to aim for 24lbs please, thanks x

I know I've said it before, but isn't it frustrating how much your weight can fluctuate from one day to another? On Sunday I was a pound and a half down from my last weigh-in, yesterday I was still a pound down, and then today I'm somehow 4 pounds up! How is that even possible?

Unfortunately that kicked me off on a 'oh, why bother?' moment:

B - two slices of seed bread with butter and peanut butter (see what I mean? :o)
L - LO tuna pasta bake (which ended up a bit greasy - I think I needed to drain the tinned tuna better than I did); apricot yoghurt; portion of grapes
D - spicy bean burger with salad and some sort of healthy dressing (i.e. not the nice chilli mayo I've got in the fridge for special occasions!)

daisiegg - more hugs from me - it all sounds really difficult for you at the moment.

*zippy* - welcome to the thread!
Back after a very long break!

    Hi all!

Just checking in, I've lost 1.5lbs :T since this challenge started - and have found that 1300 to 1400 calories a day works for me, as I amn't feeling restricted (hungry) as I was on 1200, and I can also have the odd treat too. Would like to lose faster, but I think this is a more realistic way forward  Tracking on MFP helps too and I like the additional calories I am allowed for exercise, so that encourages more activity :p

Hope this post isn't too late!

    Tx

I was on exactly the same - meant to be on 1200 but found I was quite hungry a lot of the time but 1400 is exactly right - and most days I am slightly under which is motivational! Glad I'm not the only one :D

I was saying on MFP that I was really pleased as I think subconciously I am now making better decisions for my diet. I had what I considered a massive binge at the weekend, but when I checked my weight Monday to see the damage I had only put on 1lb which is easily loosable. Before I was doing this, I would easily have put on 4-5lb over a weekend from binging, so clearly I am educating my brain without thinking too much - yey!

This week I have mainly got cream of onion soup for lunch (HM with soya) and lentil and butterbean casserole for dinner. Went for a 45 min walk with the pooch yesterday but tonight I have my MOT straight after work so know I won't get exercise in.

After my revelation of how much I enjoyed my 'Just Dance' on the Wii, I checked out how much the follow ups were. On the high street websites number 2 worked out at £15.00 and number 3 was £22.99 - I managed to bid on Fleabay at the weekend and got them for £6.49 and £9.99 respectively - saving me a massive £21.51! So for £16.50 I now have three discs of which gives me about 100 songs to look like a plonker and dance around the room with :D I love it when you find something you enjoy (because of course, when you dance on your own, you are literally the best and sexiest dancer in the world!) :rotfl:

Good luck this week everyone x

Ask whoever sits next to you to move them out of your reach!

Those individual chocolates are really high calorie, and nor worth it considering their size (don't ask me how I know :D)

    Hi All

Sorry I have been absent but we were busy splitting logs all weekend.. Yes, I can still wield an axe but I don't get it into the middle of the log like the betterhalf can... :(

I had a quick look at everyone's posts and I think crisps are difficult to avoid... I think it is because they weigh so little that you think that they can't do a lot of damage... but they can... so no crisps in my house.. If I bought them I would munch through them !!! Nae bother at awe...

Thanks to you knit witch for your sterling work.. I didn't lose any more last week but I never put on what I had lost on holiday so that's a blessing...

The new jeans that I made are starting to be a little loose on me so I can't wait to come down to more humane sizes... :j:j:j:j It's amazing that the new bras that I bought last year - they never fitted but they were the expensive kind that were in the sale... Well, guess what? They fit now and look lovely on... no bulges... All in all, these little things keep me going...

We also walked along the railway line (It's been disused for the last 10 years) and gathered brambles and apples.... so I ended up making lbs and lbs of fruits of the forest jam/jelly... It would really have been apple & bramble but I had a couple of lbs of black currants in the freezer so that went into it.... and I also had half a pineapple that would have gone bad so that went into the mix as well.. (Yes, I know that's not really a fruit of the forest) ... so I had a slice of toast this morning to try out the jelly...

Well, tonight I am off to Wetherspoons for their steak night... We are going with a couple of friends... We'll be there early so we'll be out again before it gets too roudy... (I am not sure how to spell that !!!)

My two little cats are coming along fine.. The one with the damaged hips is sleeping in the cupboard early morning... She then moves to the conservatory at lunch time and then into the living-room for the evening... (She hopes the fire will get lit !!!)

The other one is slowly coming out of her shell...

Well, that's about it for today... so I am off to have a cup of coffee ....

    Cheers
