Is it ok to sneak back in again, please? Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of weeks - getting DD1 into her new home has taken all my spare time.

KnitWitch - would you put me down for 7lbs please for the new challenge? I'm sort of 'happy' with the 3lbs I've lost this time around, but I know I can do better :o

I'm feeling pretty cross with myself this morning: I was really good all day yesterday, then for dinner I had two beefburgers rather than one and topped both with a thick slice of cheese. :o Evening meals are always my downfall - I just seem to lose all enthusiasm and willpower by the time I get home from work and can't resist something tasty but unhealthy for dinner. :(

    Today goes:

B - mango and LF yoghurt with a banana flapjack
L - hummous and tomato sandwich; small handful of macademia nuts; bunch of grapes
D - breaded fish, broccoli, mushy peas, small portion of oven chips

Then I'm out with friends this evening but will have only a couple of drinks as it's a school night.
Back after a very long break!

Hi all, back online again :)

A sneaky weigh in today shows I'm up a pound over the weekend, so will have to be very good the rest of the week for the last weigh in. It's awful how quickly it goes back on...my breakfasts and lunches were the same as at home, I had no snacks, but my evening meals were a bit higher calorie than normal, and I had a little bit to drink...I thought the walking I did would help cancel it out, but it didn't...no wonder maintaining weight loss is so difficult!

Knit Witch...can you please put me down for 10 lbs for the next challenge...I can't believe we're on the run-down to xmas already

Morning all, welcome back OG, welcome returners and newbies :)

    B - F&F, ss milk, ff yogurt
L - egg salad in WW wm bread
    D - chilli & sweet jacket
    S - orange, pear, carrot
E - 1x10 mins done, have polishing, baking, shopping and gardening to do, wash kit floor last thing.

Now the window cleaner has arrived to do the outsides which means I have to do the insides. Exhausted thinking about it!

The mist is clearing, sun is shining so better get my skates on. Have a sunny day :)

    Morning all :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I've managed to stick to my healthy eating plan so I feel quite pleased.
I'm struggling with exercise so I've decided to add in 3 10-minute sessions every day rather than lots in one go. I hope that works!

I sometimes just do 5 or 10 minutes, as I don't always have time for a long workout and every little helps, although of course a longer workout would probably get your heart rate higher, and therefore burn more calories. The last long session I did was Jillian Michaels '6 pack in 6 weeks' workout a couple of weeks ago, and my abs were aching for nearly a week afterwards, lol, so it must have done some good, but I haven't had time to do it again since.

Yesterday I gave in to temptation :o! I had a biscuit at work, as I was on my own and bored, then OH picked me up from work and I got him to go to the chippy for sausage in batter and chips. He tried to persuade me not to, but I really couldn't be bothered to cook when I got home. We always share a portion of chips, so it could have been worse, and I still managed to stay under my calorie goal for the day, but I was very disappointed in myself for giving in to temptation.

Today should be better as we are both working late, and as he won't be home until about 9.30 and will therefore eat at work, I will only have to cook for myself so will probably just have some soup with a couple of slices of bread, or something on toast. However, I will be working on my own for 3 hours today, with the 'naughty cupboard' right behind me so we'll see, lol!

    Good afternoon all

Breakfast - Oat So Simple breakfast bar with a glass of milk (it was only after I'd scoffed it did I realise that it isn't actually healthy :o )

Lunch - cottage cheese on crackers (2) with some fruit, lots of water

Dinner- not decided yet, probably chicken salad in wraps or pitta bread.

    Snacks - fruit.

I also need to drink lots of water, something I'm struggling with. Good job I prefer it to other drinks and don't drink alcohol.

Thanks for the exercise tips Sue14 :)

  • Had a really bad weekend. Couldn't seem to stop eating, but not sure why I felt that way.
Anyway trying to be more focused until the end of the week and hoping that I haven't done too much damage. So the plan for today is HM yogurt with raisins and honey for breakfast, lunch was a ham sandwich with tomato and mustard. For dinner tonight I'm doing grilled salmon with salad. Snacks will be fruit
  • Hi Folks

Must have walked a good 5 miles today – a friend and I decided to meet in town and trawl the charity shops. Managed to pick up a couple of nice teacups for my candle making projects, a jacket and some material to make a new roman blind for my bathroom, so home a very tired but happy bunny.

    Meal plan today =
    B – Porridge & stewed apples.
    L – Sausage sandwich.
D – Chilli & sweet potato wedges (I’m not copying Sparrer, honest :o, just using up the last of the stuff I got from @ldi a couple of weeks ago)
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £113.01
  • Hi All

Nothing much to report today except that I am getting another little cat. He's 2 years old and terrified of everyone and of life in general..

I have been cutting the grass and doing a tidy-up in the garden but it is not as bad as I thought it would be.

Today, I braised some beef in the slow cooker... (A touch of stock, red wine and a desstsp of bramble jelly and seasoning). I also added some mushrooms, and 1 whole onion and 2 carrots (so that I can serve them up just to beloved). I have boiled a couple of large potatoes until almost cooked and I plan to bake them for about 15 minutes in the oven at teatime. He's getting broccoli to go with it all... so that's for dinner tonight... I am also going to make a little fruit salad for him and I'll pop in half a can of Lilt (low cal) to give a nice flavour...

I'm not keeping too well at the moment, so I'll just have some bland food that is easy to digest..

My back has been crippling me since I got back so I am taking it easy...

It looks like autumn is finally upon us as the leaves are starting to turn in the garden... I am starting to ramble now so I'll call it a day until I get my usual humour back....

    Take care...
