P.S. I have found that trousers that used to fit ok now are too long I think its because my tum is slowly dissapearing Last night I kept tripping over the pair I was wearing so they are going into the charity shop bagIf they don't fit anymore then I am not keeping them .:):)
I have that problem with the trousers I wear for work. Before I started losing weight, I had to wear them done up round my waist as they were so tight that I had no chance of wearing them on my hips where they should be, lol! Now I've lost some weight, they are loose on my hips and are therefore longer, so I keep nearly tripping on them, so I now need to get some higher shoes to wear with them, as my one pair of heels are a bit tatty to wear, and it's too cold to wear sandals now.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

JackieO...don't keep us in suspense any longer...how much did the nurse say you'd lost???
I'm having the same problem with my trousers, although only with one leg...part of my back problem means one side of my pelvis sits a little higher than the other, so I have one trouser leg trailing in the wet when it rains :rotfl:
Another very ordinary day today, had salad and chips for tea, and then was tempted by another rock bun...have told DS1 to take the rest to work tomorrow to get them out of reach
Did manage a walk with friend, but much sorer (is that a word?) than yesterday...some days I can tell before I even get out of bed that it's going to be a sore day
Have just had a hot bath to try and ease it...I have a new dieting aim - to be able to lie down in the bath and not have a little mound of belly sticking up out of the water and getting cold :rotfl:
Momentarily forgot that drinks count as well...have taken a bottle of beer out the fridge...the lid's not off yet...hmmm, take the lid off, or put it back in the fridge?...

Hi everyone
I'd really like to join in please - I've made a firm resolve to start eating healthily and getting fit - which will hopefully result in me losing weight!
We don't eat much processed food in this house which is a plus however we do eat a lot of chicken etc, rather than vegetables. So that's my first goal: to incorporate more vegetables into our diet.
I started off by walking one mile today, and I plan on keeping this up.
I would love some tips as I tend to lose motivation really quicklyI don't want to give up this time.

Morning all.
Sorry for the lack of posting recently: I've been suffering from a severe loss of motivation, followed by a nasty attack of a condition I've had for years but haven't had any major problems with for about five years. On the plus side, I was in so much pain I lost most of my appetite, so I look set for at least a one pound loss this week.
I'm going to go back to recording my meals, in the hope that will help me re-find my motivation:
B - two slices of seed bread with butter (OK, not a good start!)
L - LO veg and cheese pasta bake (lots of veg, not much pasta); bunch of grapes
D - bean burger, small portion of oven chips and a big portion of salad
Then (probably) out with friends tonight but I'll be sticking to soft drinks as I don't want to aggravate my stomach again when it's only just stopped hurting - I'll probably have ginger beer, which I love.
Best of luck today, everyone.Back after a very long break!0 -

Great start and you sound motivated at the moment - so keep it up! I find that posting fairly regularly on here is a great help to keeping me motivated, whether it is a good week or bad, people are really supportive rather than putting you down and seem to know exactly what to say to keep you on the right track
Also if you are weighing yourself, make sure you measure yourself too. I do hips, bust/chest and waist each week when I weigh myself as I found before when I plateaued I was still losing inches even though the weight was maintaining (especially if you are exercising).
Lastly, see if you can find something that you want to fit into, especially as it is nearing party season - and keep that as your aim. I have promised myself a cute little 1950's dress, but I refuse to buy it in a size 16-18 but need to lose two inches to get the 16 - 18. I have until beginning of December so it is keeping me motivated!
Hope that helps a bit and good luckx :j

Welcome A It's a lovely friendly forum which is why most of us stay, even when we put on the odd lb we're more likely to empathise than criticise. I like to list my menu daily as it helps keep me on track, though I've occasionally swerved if I've eaten out which I'll just add or amend. I have to be completely honest with myself otherwise it's myself I'm cheating. Looking forward to reading your postsJust run a deeper bath.....problem solved! :rotfl:

Welcome [A]...don't think about giving up when you've just started!...everyone's given lots of good advice, I'd say what's helped me the most is writing everything down...why I want to be slim, what I've eaten every day, and how many minutes I've walked...it keeps my mind focused on what I'm doing.
This forum has helped loads, when I ground to a halt a few months ago, I eventually started losing again because I tried harder, because I didn't want to come on here for yet another week saying I'd lost nothingJust run a deeper bath.....problem solved! :rotfl:
daisiegg...you're really not helping :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I nearly choked on my muesli :rotfl:

Ha ha ha...just clicked on a website to read something, a horoscope video popped up, and I paused it because I didn't want to listen to it...anyway, it started playing, saying an error had occurred, and I couldn't stop it...I must have been meant to hear it.. she said...
