Evening :hello:
Well went to my first ww meeting today (part of my 12 week trial) and well....didn't really learn much.
The leader was lovely and very enthusiastic, but all info seems to be mainly accessed online now, which is fine for me, but I wonder how this helps those who don't have a computer?? It seems mainly to do with portion control which is, admittedly, my biggest problem.
Still I will give it a whirl, I have nothing to loose but hopefully weight I guess:rotfl:
Best thing was probably the fact that I decided to walk there and back and after checking online realised it was just short of 4 miles:eek: could hardly get up the stairs when I got home though!!
Anyway weigh in will be thur but I will go with sts today and prope weight next week if thats okay Knit Witch?'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

You haven't missed the start of the new challenge, I think we have another 2 weeks to go on this one, so you can relax
Has anyone seen or heard from Knit Witch the last few days, I hope she's okay?
Will do the scales and report tomorrow.

Hi all
Been a bit poorly tail end of this week and usually would spend the time feeling sorry for myself and comfort eating but have been extremely good! However, yesterday's gas switch off has now been extended and now we have no gas today eitherno hot water and no cooking.
Luckily we went out for a family dinner last night, and I was really good as it was my first meal out without dairy. Me being very pleased with myself, then realising after tummy grumblings fifteen mins after the starter that the pate was VERY creamy.... oops. Was up until 2am this morning as a result.
But, after being really good this week I have lost 2lbs this week
Have got a girly day with my sister tomorrow which mainly involves eating and drinking but I don't mind - got to let yourself go sometimes!!

Not the best of weeks, I've gone way over on calories a couple of days, and not done as much exercise as usual, but I was way under yesterday, so it evens out over the week, and I've lost another 1lb!
It didn't help that we went to MIL's on Sunday, and she insisted that we 'help her out' by having a piece of the chocolate cake that she'd bought, as she is also trying to lose weight. She'd bought the cake as OH's sister went there for lunch with her partner and son, but they didn't have any of the cake, so it would have meant MIL having to eat it all if we didn't have a bit. We only had a small slice each, but curses to SIL for not taking it home with her, lol!
Earlier in the week, I decided to try running up and down the stairs at home, wearing my heart rate monitor to see how many calories I burned. I originally aimed for 10 times (after the second I knew I was being too ambitious and changed the goal to 5, lol!), but finally managed 4 times, before almost collapsing in a heap, lol! On checking the HRM I found that it had taken 1 minute and 11 seconds and I'd burned a measly 7 calories , but I guess every little helps, lol!
Yesterday morning I did an ab workout using a video I found on youtube, it was 35 minutes and I burned 210 calories and 21g of fat, then I sat down and drank some water while waiting for my heart rate to drop, and in the 10 minutes I was sat down, I burned another 32 calories and another 4g of fat! I'm really feeling it in my abs this morning!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Good Morning chums well so far have stuck like glue to the healthy eating plan ,apart from a slight hiccup last night.yesterday I had
B: missed it completely as I was running late and had to do lots of errands after the school run
L: crispbread and cottage cheese with the last dregs of the HM veggie soup and a rather soft banana mixed up in some natural yoghurt
D:ham salad consisting of two thin slices of very lean ham, large pile of lettuce a tomato some sliced beetroot sliced cucumber and a small sweet jacket Potato.I had a dribble of chilli sauce on that and a spoonful of philly low fat cheese. So was feeling quite proud of myself
Then mid evening my youngest DGD Holly arrived with a nice bunch of flowers for me and a packet of choc eclairs, one for each of us .Now she is a student and not very rich and I hadn't got the heart to tell her to eat bothso we had one each and it was lovely .Bless her she is such a sweetie and means well, but this morning I sat and thought I really didn't need the eclair but I didn't want to spoil her treat that she had bought for her Gran.Moral dilemma or what. But I don't get to see her very often as she is in her third year at Uni and studying quite hard so I thought well one eclair isn't a hanging offence
:)
I shall be sterner with myself over the weekend to make up for my lapse:)
(it was lovely all the same and the first chocolate I had tasted in three weeks:):))
Today I an going to have a rummage in the freezer to see what I can find I have a fancy for some chicken and I know I have a few breasts in there so I may hoick one out for dinner tonight
B: this morning was cereal and a banana
L: will be probably soup and crispbread with cottage cheese (I actually really enjoy that as its filling but not fattening) Tonight I think I'll make a herby lemon chicken breast with salad
Onwards and upwards chums we will get there in the end
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
Hi
Forgot to weigh in this morning and as we are going to DS1's for the weekend I won't have another chance this week. If it's ok Mrs KW I'll leave my weigh in until next week.0 -
Sorry I haven't been around for a while: I was away on holiday last weekend and, despite being fairly well-behaved (not a single ice cream or cream tea passed my lips
) and doing a lot of walking, I came back to find I had gained 4lbs, which is what I would have expected if I'd spent the whole time sitting around stuffing my face.
I got a bit disheartened as a result and decided to just eat whatever I wanted for a few days, as a result of which I've lost one of the pounds I'd gained. My weigh in for this week is therefore 3lb gain.
Today is going to be a disaster food-wise - I'm running an event at work with a buffet of mayonnaise-y sandwiches and fried goodies, followed by cakes- but I'll try to sort-of get back on the bandwagon for the last couple of weeks of the challenge. I know I'm not going to reach my challenge target but I guess I'll be happy enough if I can lose the 3lb I've gained over the past week or so. :undecided
Well done to everyone who is doing better than I am, and big hugs to daisiegg - you sound like you need them, hun.Back after a very long break!0 -
Just popped into Ald%s on the way home from history club and they had some low fat cheese triangles and their calorific value is only 28 cals, so I'm hoping they will be tasty enough to spread on crackers at lunchtime with cucumber and tomato slices and lots of ground black pepper. Plus they were only 65p for 8 which I thought was pretty good.Maybe even one in a jacket spud will help me with my cheese cravings . I find it hard not to eat as much cheese as I used to I'm not fussed about chocolate or sweets by cheese is always my downfall.:):)0
