Once again, the weekend is my downfall! Did well on Friday, but on Saturday we ended up going out for a while so had a few cans of cider. Then on Sunday I did well all day until a stressful afternoon led to a pint or two in the pub and a Chinese on the way home :(
Feeling rubbish today, think I'm getting a cold.
    Today's menu was -
B - bowl of cereal with skimmed milk, fruit tea
L - cup soup, Ryvita with cottage cheese
D - 2 RF sausages, bubble and squeak, gravy made from granules.
S - hot chocolate (Options), FF yogurt
    E - walk at lunchtime

Must not use being ill as an excuse to eat ice cream and not bother cooking! I've been doing some more holiday planning to motivate me :) Must try harder!

    Think I've done okay today

    B: granola, muesli, ss milk
L; 2 slices wholemeal, scraping of soft cheese
D: chicken kiev, hm potato wedges, lots of veg

E: 35 minutes walk, an hours supermarket shop (but I don't suppose that counts as exercise!)

I'll give you all advance notice now...tomorrow I'll be making LOTS of cakes and traybake and savoury things...I'm having a party at home on Wednesday...so I'll have to test them tomorrow, and eat more on Wednesday :)

Welcome back sparrer..glad you had a piggy weekend :D

It seems very quiet on here today, so it's probably a good moment to admit I've spent all morning baking..chocolate cakes, traybakes, lemon curd cake (not a huge success) :o

I made too much chocolate butter icing, so *had* to eat the leftovers (I was brought up not to waste anything :))...it was so sickly...I'm sitting here now with a mug of tea, looking at a chocolate cupcake, which I was going to eat as a tester for my lunch, and I can't face eating it!!! I'm going to put it back in tin.

So for my lunch I've had cake icing :o

  • Hi all!

Well camping didn't turn out too bad for me eating wise after all - took my paella Saturday for lunch, had a couple of gingernut biscuits in the afternoon for my sweet tooth and stuck to a portion of chips for the chippy tea and curry sauce. Normally in the evening we will snack on crisps etc but I just wasn't hungry (never heard of!).

Sunday wasn't great but that comes from being too knackered from camp, however could have been worse - breakie was a couple of veggie sausages in a sandwich, leek and potato soup for lunch and shared a camembert with some home made chips for tea. However, did make me ill yesterday so pretty certain it is dairy that's doing it - going to take a break from it this week and see what happens.

Good day yesterday as I took a day off and normally thats when I munch BUT had toast with marmalade for breakie, salad with two veg sausages for lunch and made a chicken curry for dinner which has also sufficed for the next three days :)

    Today:
    B- toast with peanut butter
L - salad and a tortilla wrap with salsa
    D - Curry and rice

No time for snacks as off to the theatre tonight as some of my scouts are in a showing of Wizard of Oz (which happens to be my fave) so thought I'd go and support them

    Love x

  • Hi Folks

Well I was feeling very virtuous having cleaned out and re-organising quite a few kitchen/utility room cupboards, used up left-overs in a reasonably healthy way but today has been my downfall – with the cold weather not only has my heating been on (1st since about April) but I was craved warming “junk” food.

In order to try and rein things in and NOT order a takeaway I resorted to making my own “fakeaway” so that I can control the portion size – every little helps…..right :D

    Today I went shopping – big mistake……..HUGE…….!!!

B – Toast with Peanut Butter. Kiwi
    L – Missed.
S – Banana, handful of salted peanuts (just because!!)
D – Chinese style/Chip shop type curry sauce (A!di pkt mix) with onions, prawns, peas served with a handful of Auntie B’s oven chips (just because they were reduced in sainsbobs):eek:

On the positive side just spotted 4 magpies in the garden - if another joins them I’ll go buy a lottery ticket :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hey all

Not feeling great at all today, come home from work all groggy and coldy and yuck. So desperately trying to steer clear of the comfort food but its all I want. I have a home made curry with the works (all planned for on MFP) so that should do for a bit but have the evening to myself and a big packet of prawn cocktail fake sk!ps in the cupboard that are calling me.... On one hand not good but on the other I was so close to ordering Domin0's (as in, got to the online checkout close!) which wouldn't have been good for the dairy intolerance, that psychologically its the lesser of two evils ;p

And tomorrow I'm not in because I'm ill which would be great because I can cook from scratch, except we have gas works going on in our road and tomorrow happens to be the day that they are switching the gas off.

    Great.

Oh dear...oh dear, oh dear, oh dear...I've totally ruined all my efforts this week. Last night at my little party I had things like cake, apple pie and cream, strawberries, quiche, spring rolls, wine, etc etc...

Now my problem is left overs...I gave DS2 a big box to take home, but still have some left, so I expect I'll be tempted to eat some today. Does anyone know if I can freeze single cream or coleslaw? I'm guessing not, but don't really know...where's officeguru when you need her..on holiday! :rotfl:

Yes sparrer definitely sabotaged myself this week!
In my defence, the rellies have been here almost 4 weeks, and apart from one cupcake at DMs one day, yesterday was the only day I've eaten extra. What's the point of having a party and not being able to eat anything? especially when I did all the shopping, so picked things I liked :)

Today I had pie and cream and one cupcake to help eat up the leftovers, and I think that will be all, I will leave the rest to DS. Tried to counteract it by having no breakfast, instead went to supermarket first thing...and bumped into an ex (not the one who winds me up, the one before him :))...why is it always when I'm wearing old clothes, and not washed my hair, and looking tired after wine and a late night? :rotfl:

Rellies going home tomorrow so back to normal, and even if it costs me a loss this week, I'm not going to regret celebrating their time with us :)
