  • hi there, no loss this week, but l know why had to sample granddaughters blackberry crumble with custard. next time i will put the fruit in my breakfast instead. went swimming yesterday with the family, was hoping it would help my back like last week, but it seems to be worse, either l didn't swim enough or do the exercises properly.have been using up the red meat in the freezer this week too. today's dinner is nut roast with 2 roast potatoes & loads of veg.going to make bolognese this week with the quorn, already tried shepherd's pie, which wasn't bad but needs a bit more seasoning or something.

    okay so today was:

b - 3 small slices toast with flora proactive spread, small can beans, 30g cheese (weighed). 2 x cups tea.
l - 45g pasta (weighed), with small tin of tuna (brine drained), chopped small spring onion. water.
d - chicken breast, 70g chips (weighed), half a regular sized tin of peas, 1 x aunt b's yorkshire pud. water.
snack - very naughty sin this one. I bought a bar of Milka Oreo chocolate on holiday (my bunnies names!!!)and I didnt touch it while I was there...I brought it back in my suitcase and devoured 3/4 of it this afternoon. Ellie, I have found the supreme chocolate to your popping chocolate, no question. ;)

eta: peaches and custard for pudding after dinner. :)

    Theatregirl...I DON'T WANT TO KNOW :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I can't risk finding out about more lovely chocolate...
I think you're trying to sabotage me so I don't catch up with you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm full of renewed determination tonight...
did a final car boot sale, which was a bit of a waste of time, and got home to missed phone calls and messages from my ex...it's about 18 months since we last spoke, so what does he want now?

But after the churning stomach, I came to my senses and realised it didn't matter what he wanted, I wasn't going to phone him back (I'm not really a horrible person :), he behaved very badly when he left and I don't need to go back for more of the same!)

So now I'm even more determined to get my figure back..for *me* :), I've been for a 35 minute walk tonight, and plan to walk more when I can, and get my fitness back :)

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

Not at all. If its any consolation, I dont think they even sell the chocolate I'm talking about here. I know they sell Milka chocolate, but not the one with the Oreo in it. In any case, I am hoping to drop the holiday weight reasonably quickly. :)
ALSO - good for you! I made the mistake of taking back an ex about 18 month ago, who I parted with on bad terms, and we ended up finishing it a second time on even WORSE terms. Whats more - three months down the line from that, another ex of mine wanted to get back together with me....well as the saying goes, once bitten twice shy, and I turned him down flat...and it felt SO GOOD! LOL.

Back to the food side of things...have decided with DM to use up more remaining supplies in the cupboard + freezer tomorrow and go shopping in Mr T's on Tuesday. We threw out a tin of prunes and a tin of ambrosia rice pudding (both four months past their bb) tonight and found we had lots of tinned fruit, so thats where the peaches and custard pudding came from! :rotfl:

Have already got meal plan done for tomorrow, just need to pop out to the local shop and get 2 x potatoes, and a pack of biscuits (because DM cant survive without them with her cuppa!). Not out of my way as I need to get to the post office and the walk will do me good!

I'm sure you will TG, if you don't let those holiday pounds get too settled in, they'll come off quickly :)

And what's that saying? something like - exes are exes for a reason? I expect mine will be annoyed tonight, he'll think I'm deliberately ignoring him, which I suppose I am...I'd rather have a lovely plate of peaches and custard :)

  • another week ahead and today after dropping DGS Mikey off at school I am planning on going for a swim at our local baths A freebie for me as I am ...slightly older than most on here :):)

    B: scrambled eggs

L: HM veg soup crackers with soft cheese and sliced cucumber

D: Grilled chicken breast, mash, spring greens ,carrots
    Youghurt for pud

s: probably fruit as I have quite a bit in stock

Well done to those who got through the weekend sticking to the healthy eating.I don't like the word diet as it seems to strict and think that changing my eating habits sound nicer if I am eating healthier rather than just feeding my face with what ever there is in store.I have donated all my biscuits to my young grandsons to eat and don't even have one left in the house :):)Also no cake or chocolate If its not there I can't eat it :):)
    Cheers chums

  • Morning Folks

Saturday didn’t turn out as productive as I had hoped – a) forgot to take milk out of the freezer for my baking and b) unexpected visitors arrived in the afternoon, and me with nothing to offer them but a couple of crackers & cheese – serves them right for not letting me know.

More organised on Sunday – batch of pancakes and cheese & onion scones made, most of which are bagged up & in the freezer.

    Meals yesterday =
    B – 2 pancakes, raspberry jam, kiwi
L – Butternut Squash Soup, cheese & onion scone
D – Roast Pork, new potatoes, braised carrot & celery

Well after doing a quick tidy up this morning that job on my “to do” list, the one that keeps getting put off finally has reached the top of the list and must be done – you know the one - “the kitchen & utility room cupboards ” – no longer can I just shut the door saying I will do it tomorrow. No doubt there will be much “oh…..I forgot I had that” being said and spending a lot of time on my knees, so I will put in a good word for you all ;)

  • Hi all,

I am feeling loads better after my little time away and I am hoping that I am ready to start a fresh with my weight loss.

It definitely helped that I checked both suitcases and realised by eating more cakes I won't get into my size 16 holiday clothes ... I am sure I have about 2-3 dress sizes to go :) Back on MFP today as well.

To make life easier I should have access to the internet at home without using my phone ... so should be easier to keep up to date on here - I find it hard alone and getting on MSE isn't easy on the phone :(

    Today was as follows:
B: Sachet of Porridge (Harvest Morn - A!di version of oats so simple)
    L: WW Lasagne
    S: 2 Nice biscuits and 6 or 7 Malteasers
D: Mince, Potatoes and loads of veg
E: 45 Minutes brisk walking - Done :T (shows dog walking pace on mfp ), 25 Squats, 20 - 30 minutes of nhs toning exercises
