What started as a wheezy day turned out to be a good one, thanks to breathing exercises and neb. Very naughty, I try to go without when I know it only exacerbates the situations. However after doing what I should I managed to spray clean the garden table and chairs, 'built' a little wall of bricks (that is, put them in place where I want them to go), painted a shelf, swept all 3 patios and the side path, got to the tip where the lovely men there emptied the boot and put the various bits where they belonged and shopped in Mr S, where I bumped into DD and DSiL. Got home and immediately fell asleep!

    B - F&F, ss milk
    L - 2 finger rolls, 1 x chicken & rf mayo, 1 x rf cheese & tomato
D - Sweet jacket potato, chicken thigh, salad. Teasp each of rf mayo & ff yogurt mixed for dressing.
S - nectarine, pear, celery, carrot batons
E - see above, that felt like enough for one day!

    Sweet dreams :)

    Yesterday was pretty good

B: porridge made with water and a small amount of ss milk to taste

L: tea, some apples, stewed and two spoonfuls of rice

D: I had at the pub, as I go to a quiz night on a Tuesday, so last night it was beef stew with veg and a small amount of mash.Great value as the whole evening costs £2.00 and I pay a pound for a soda and lime with ice and slice as I am driving

Today I will have a rummage as see what's in the freezer for tonights dinner and I will probably have cereal with ss milk for breakfast shortly.Lunch I'm not sure of as I am at DDs looking after the boys today. But I did resist alll of the snacking in between meals yesterday so I am really pleased with myself .I would like to lose between 1-2lb per week if I can as its 16 weeks today until I see my consultant so I am determined its going to come off.
Excercise is a bit more difficult as I have a slight mobility problem and consequently cannot walk far,but I am hoping to return to swimming next week when the boys are back at school
    Onwards and upwards chums :):):)

'ello everyone. I've been away from posting for a few days - Monday wasn't good food-wise as I went out for dinner (naughty but very nice pizza), yesterday wasn't bad but was rather lazy and only had two portions of fruit / veg which really isn't good enough. :o I've got one more week until I head off on holiday, so I'll see what I can do for the next few days despite already starting to slip into holiday mode!

B - two small white rolls with a heaped tsp of peanut butter and half a banana in each
L - LF chicken and coleslaw sandwich (which was entirely tasteless - what a waste of money :(); LF salt and vinegar spiral crisps; bottle of RC fruit juice
D - squash, chorizo and bean stew (this recipe, with a tin of cannelini beans added - I've linked as it's delicious and low calorie, and I thought I'd share in case anyone else fancies trying it :))
Back after a very long break!

Hi Folks, to newbies or returners like me.

Haven’t been on MSE for a few days but I had an incident with a bag of onions and my laptop early on Saturday :o – not a good combination – multi-tasking I was checking a recipe on t’internet whilst opening a bag of onions, bag burst, onions bounced over keyboard, screen went black but came on again with everything on its side, mouse working back to front and me getting a crick in my neck trying to read things. Cause I’m not techie minded I had to wait several days for a friend to talk me through how to sort it…….. aah hah…lightbulb moment = screen resolution, .

Anyway I’m back to record my food diary for today
    B – Boiled Egg, oatcake
L – Tomato & Lentil soup hm cheese scone.
D – Vegetarian Moussaka, green salad

A positive of not spending time on the laptop was that I caught up on heaps of gardening chores, got the grass cut earlier so off out now to strim and weed some more.

Also need to go check on my new best buddy (neighbours cat) looking after him whilst they are away - I know its Cupboard Love, I open the cupboard and he loves it :rotfl:.

  • Hi All

Sorry not to have been posting so much this week, but the inlaws are really failing... We had to go to a meeting with their carers etc but it was a waste of time.. My mother and father-in-law hardly recognise each other let alone anyone else and they keep refusing care and canceling people who are trying to help them.. We did a flying visit to see them and guess what... I checked their outside bin and they are throwing the food away rather than eating it... That's 2 doctors who now say they should be in a home as they aren't capable of looking after themselves, but they can't force the issue as they still have their mental faculties... how they work that out I don't know.... but we are lurching from one crisis to another...

Anyway, tonight I had a quick glance at the posts... This is the first of me sitting down and I am knackered... I am glad to see that Ellie is having protein... You need that to keep you going.... in fact, you need everything... the only question is how much and how often...

No, I am not going to preach tonight... I am just going to sit here and collect my thoughts.. I can't weigh in this week, as I'll have to get myself a new set of scales... but I am afraid it has been near the bottom of my priorities... but no, I haven't been munching away as it wasn't a bank holiday up here... Weight wise, I know that I haven't put any on as I am now getting into the jeans that I had hanging up ... I can wear them, bend down in them and so on, but the waistband is just a little bit nippit...and if I put on so much as a lb, I won't be able to fasten it..

Food wise, I spread a thin layer of apricot jam on a roast pork and slow roasted it on a bed of a mixture of veggies and apples... The veggies were on the way out and the apples were decidedly wrinkly (something like myself) and then poured a little cider into the tin...

When it was ready, I whizzed the lot down and made it into a gravy type sauce.. It just needed an extra bit of seasoning and it was fine.. I also put it through a sieve to get rid of the bits and pieces.. If it needed a bit of a lift, I would have added a chicken stock cube to the mix...

My beloved was able to have it over 2 days....

I've taken to have a starter at tea-time.. I peel a cucumber and dice it up (I have mini ones growing in the greenhouse) and then mix it with some diced tomatoes ( I have to remove the seeds, but that's not a problem) and I like to use a few leftover new potatoes diced as well... I then drizzle it with a little olive oil and vinegar (3:1) and season and then nibble away at it before my main course... I feel oh so civilised when I eat this... :A I don't add lettuce as I don't want it to be a salad... (I know it really is, but I don't tell myself that !!!) Sometimes I add a little diced cheese, or leftover cold meat... It's my little treat to myself.. Sometimes I eat it with a tooth pick and that stops it being shoveled in... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I sometimes add a few stuffed olives as well.. It is only about the equivalent of a small side-plate full and I like the colours... I wonder if life is getting too much for me and this is me starting to go into la la land...

Anyway, I am sorry that I have a lot on at the moment, and also I will soon be on holiday... but I am thinking of you all... so keep at it, we'll get there in the end...

Still plodding along here but had a HUGE achievement
    yesterday :j

That is HUGE for ME!! Daft for other people I suppose.

DH and I took DGS out, ended up at the ice-cream van and I bought whippy ice-creams for both of them and
    not for me :T:T:T:T

I have never ever ever been able to resist a whippy ice-cream :o

I thought "do I want it"???

    answer = yes

    "Do I REALLY want it"????

answer = well no, not really really want it.

    So I didnt!!

And daft as that may sound to others, I am thrilled.

    :D:D:D
